Here is Stevie’s First Cold Process soap all popped out and looking absolutely fabulous. Yellow Oxide + Cappuccino Mica + Super Pearly White = Sophisticated Candy-looking Soap Bars.

Here is the recipe we used for the mini 9-bar-World’s-Best-Mold batch:

  4. Within 5 grams is just fine. Always round the lye amount DOWN if you’re working a scale that is not as accurate as you like. Example:

    Recipe calls for 17 grams of lye

    Put in 15 grams (not 20)

    It is better to be slightly lye-light than lye heavy.

  9. Yummy!! 100x better than my first attempt at the crock pot soap!! More on that later lol…

    Question about the lye stuff… how precise does the measurement need to be? My scale goes in increments of 5 grams I think… so I couldn’t get as accurate as the soap app told me 🙁

  13. those look amazing – I could almost smell them through the screen. I have made CP soap for ages and still cant get them to look decently swirled!
