We’ve finally attempted (and successfully conquered) the Fortune Cookie Soap. We were inspired last year by French Hill Country (see post here) and we just had to try it!

Ingredients
Clear Soap
Sparkle Gold Mica
Buttercream and Snickerdoodle Fragrance
Vanilla Color Stabilizer
Silicone Brownie Pan
Round Cookie Cutter
Liquid Glycerin
*Optional: White Soap
*Optional: Peach Shimmer Mica
*The cookie at the bottom of the page was made with clear soap and sparkle gold mica. The cookies at the top were made with 1/2 clear soap, 1/2 white soap (for more opacity), Sparkle Gold Mica and Peach Shimmer Mica.

Pop the soaps under a fan right after you make them and leave them there for 24 hours and that should solve the glycerin dew issue. =)
I made these this weekend and they turned out great! After 24 hours the cookie soaps began sweating-is this due to the added glycerin and how may I avoid this in the future?
Would you be able to make this with a different soap base, like say shea?
Those are great! I’ve seen the ones that you make by pouring the soap in the mold but this is super easy. These would make great favor soaps.
Great project!!!!!!Super easy,I love it!!
Simply incredible…I think this has to be my favorite project of yours this year!
Yes, the fortunes are just on regular paper, Angie.
Joan, Love your idea of making these seasonal!
My head is spinning…these would be great little guests soap with a personalized fortune in them….or maybe for Christmas with a red & green swirl effect…thank you for the great idea…Joan
Wowsers another great Anne-Marie project for me to try …. Love it.
Are the “fortunes” just on regular paper?
These are awesome! I am definitely going to try it.
so very wonderful! I see a new project in the works for this weekend.
Those are sooooooooo cute! :o)
Brigette, You are so right – the liquid glycerin is what keeps the soap supple and makes it not crack during bending. I hope you try this tutorial and find it totally easy and enchanting. =)
Those are so cute!

Thanks for the added tips. I had made these before but I kept getting cracks in the middle when folding. I think the added glycerin and folding it over a pen or similar object would solve that issue for me. Thank you so much – will be trying it out this week.
super cute! Will have to give these a try!
These are fab!
Adorable! And they look pretty easy too.
I can’t wait to try this one out. These are super-cool.
Thanks!
These are too cute, and they look so real!!! I definitely have to try it. Thanks Soap Queen:-D
