It’s spring, and that means warmer weather, bright and happy colors, and most important, a brand new S.O.A.P. panel team! Don’t know what S.O.A.P. is? Check out this mash up post to learn more about it and check out last fall’s team here. We are looking for the newest fragrances to add the the Bramble Berry lineup and we want your help! For the next week, we are on the look out for eight soapy fans to help us pick which fragrances to add for our Summer 2013 fragrance oil line.
What is the S.O.A.P panel? S.O.A.P stand for Soap Opinion (Awesome) Panel and our members will receive one ounce samples of our top choices of fragrances that were specially designed for Bramble Berry. They’ve already gone through the our own internal inspection process (including initial CP tests), and now we’re ready for your opinion. We’d love for you to give them a sniff and test them in any products you’d like. I mean it, anything! (Okay fine, no lip or edible products but if it’s body, haircare, soap, bath … anything!) After you’ve tested all the mystery fragrances, you’ll fill out a survey to help us distinguish your top choices. We need you to be honest and thorough with your notes. You’re picking fragrances that thousands of soapers will use. No pressure. No pressure.
How To Apply:
- Tweet, Facebook, Pin or Blog about your favorite Bramble Berry product (including the links) and why you should be selected for for the Spring 2013 S.O.A.P. team.
- Your tweets should have @brambleberry someplace in the body of the tweet so that we can see you are entering!
- Be sure to link to your blog post, pin, Facebook update or tweet in the comments below so that we can read about it.
- Team members will be announced on Wednesday, April 3rd and the samples will be sent out by the end of the week
Note: We will be sending the fragrances out by the end of next week and we would like the surveys completed by May 3rd, which gives you about 3 weeks to test the fragrances. Please keep these dates in mind before you enter. We are looking for an accountable and enthusiastic panel, so be sure that this works out with your schedule! Because these fragrances can’t ship internationally, we are not able accept international entries.
Some previous SOAP Panel posts are here, here, here and this post is a fantastic example of what previous S.O.A.P. panel members have done for testing, blogging and tweeting.
Ready, Set … Apply! =)
Oh shoot, I was just about to blog about this and submit my entry, but the date has slipped up on me! A week sure does pass by quickly! I will just have to enter next time. Good luck to all the applicants!
We would love to have you participate, Leslie! We’ll be recruiting for another panel soon, so be sure to get your application in then. 🙂

Too bad you didn’t ask for my 20 favorites instead of my most-favorite. It would be a lot easier than trying to pick only one!
Thanks, Amy! That’s one of my favorite products as well. =)

Good luck to everyone!! I wish I could commit to testing right now but it just isn’t possible with my schedule for the next two months. I guess that gives me time to think of an awesome post for next time? 🙂
We wish you could participate too, Steffanie! But, don’t worry, we have a couple of these panels a year and you will definitely have a chance to apply for one in the future. =)

Great idea… and I am oh! so hoping!

Hi Marie! We are so excited for all of the entries to be a panelist. Do you happen to have a link to where you posted it on your Facebook profile, blog or twitter? Thanks! 🙂
-Becky with Bramble Berry
Here is my FB post fb.me/27tuAhRRN and it also linked to my twitter account as well where I used @brambleberry. I have recently fallen in love with Blue Man FO – and created a striking soap for Father’s Day. http://bodybym.wordpress.com/2013/03/14/fathers-day-soap-part-2/
Thank you so much for your entry, Merryn! We can’t wait to announce the panelists this next week and watch them as they test the mystery fragrances. =)

Hi Amy!
The link that you gave us isn’t coming through, it says it is broken. Would you be willing to resubmit it so we can see your entry? Thank you so much!
-Becky with Bramble Berry
P.S. We can’t wait to see it! =)
I love all of Brambleberry items. I have only been making soap for about eight months. In the past I have made lip balm, skin care items, and body spray. My daughter tells me I am addicted to soapmaking. I enjoy all the Soap Queen Videos, it is so hard to pick just one.
I enjoy all the essential oils and the fragrance oils. Right now my favorite Fragrance oil is Chocolate Espresso.
My facebook link is: https://www.facebook.com/rachel.shaddox.
Have a great day.

Hi Rachel!
I’m not seeing your posts on your FB page. It looks like you might have it set to friends only. We’d love it if you could resubmit it again so we can make sure to get you on the applicants list. Thanks! =)

I have been making soap for over 10 years and from the first bar I made I was hooked. When I was first learning, I searched for tutorials and some of the most helpful were the ones I found on Soap Queen TV. I would love to serve as one of your S.O.A.P. panel members this spring, I love experimenting with new fragrances and techniques, and would have a lot of fun doing this. My Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/GingerleafCreative. My Pinterest Soap board is here http://pinterest.com/artgeckol/soap/, and I am also one of BB’s Soapy Pinsters. Thank you for this opportunity!
Thank you for your entry, Leilani! We love seeing your gorgeous soap whenever you post it on our Facebook page. =)
-Becky with Bramble Berry
I pinned the Black & Tan Beer Soap because a.) I love the photo on the site and b.) it’s unusual and not bright/girly/glittery colors (although I do love me some glitter)

Looking forward to the results either way!
Thank you so much for your entry, Toni! Aren’t the silicone molds the best? That’s practically all I use nowadays. =)
-Becky with Bramble Berry
Oh dear I am so sad. At this time of year I get so excited when you discuss the new fragrances and give people to opportunity to help you decide. I really want to be part of it but I do understand you cannot ship internationally. I will have to live my excitement through the panel.
Darn! We did wish you lived closer (or we were closer to you) so you could be part of our team. We’ll make sure to keep you updated on the progress of the team, and make sure to follow their blogs so you can see what the mystery fragrances are doing. =)
-Becky with Bramble Berry
I pinned, yay!

I have been a soapmaker for 10+ years, this is so exciting! I will post this on my Facebook page that I have applied, our Beloit market is so wonderful and I teach soap making classes every Saturday thru the winter, that this will be a great thing for us and for you if I am selected. Thanks for the opportunity.

Hi Terri!
If you could link us to your page, so that we could see it, that would be fabulous! Thank you. =)
-Becky with Bramble Berry
Ok, guys, no idea how to get the direct link to the posting, but it should be the first on my blog. http://janetscandles.tumblr.com/ (Sorry, so new to Tumblr that it is ridiculous…) By the way, the photo I chose is colored using Brambleberry’s Merlot Mica mixed with Electric Bubblegum.
Oh hey! Figured out the direct link. Here you go. http://tmblr.co/ZC50zshIH1Yv
Thank you so much for your entry, Janet! That soap lily is absolutely stunning. Is it cold process or melt and pour? =)
-Becky with Bramble Berry
That one is melt and pour. I’m working on a cold process version, but it’s taking much longer. I just haven’t gotten the hang of it quite yet.
So excited for this!! =)
We can’t wait to see who is on the team and are so exciting to get their notes on our mystery fragrances back! =)
