For their book, Hello Cupcake!, cake artists Karen & Alan made this amazing sheet of cupcakes and frosted it in an extraordinary way.
Though, as a cupcake connoisseur, I suspect some of that frosting is so darkly colored that it doesn’t taste great. But, whatever… I’ll suffer for art.
This was in my cupcake book, its pretty amazing the things you have to do to make this.

I’m at a loss for words, this is so incredible! And I say that as both a fan of Van Gogh and a fan of sweets. 😉
I actually make (real) cakes ‘on the side’ and you’d be surprised what there is now for colors that don’t effect flavor nearly as much. I tried posting the pictures of a recent wedding cake I did to my bath cake blogger account, but it didn’t like my pictures for some reason.
