We wanted to do something a little different for our 4th of July projects this year and found some inspiration from a lithograph created by Jasper Johns. It’s called ‘Flag (Moratorium)’ and was made in 1969.
Here’s a sneak peak of our final soaps.
I’ll be doing the step by step for this project the rest of this week, interspersed with Craft Show Questions, Cupcake Cravings and general personal ramblings and rants. Stay tuned for this how-to.

Oh boy – another great project! I haven’t had time to play with previous projects you’ve posted yet. Vacation time is coming and none too soon.

Goatlady, I’ll post an Otion store update today.
Marie P, I’ll be doing the Flag Soaps this week – probably a post today, one Saturday … I am writing them right now. =)
And, yes, please feel free to use these ideas to make your own soap for sale – and hopefully make way better ones than I do!
Marie P says
I forgot to ask if it’s ok to use some of the ideas here for selling soaps. I’ve sold some soaps on Ebay, and I’m always looking for great ideas for selling soaps. I don’t want to use anyone else’s ideas without permission though.

I was hoping to get the directions for making some of these, especially the ones having to colors in the stripes. Am I in the wrong place for directions, or has Anne-Marie just not posted them yet?

Love the flags, can’t wait to make them with my grandaughter! Hey are you opening the store in Seattle anytime soon?
Anne-Marie says
I think it will be fun; I always love having a plan of things to keep me on track! =)
I’m just putting the finishing touches on the continuing Craft Show Questions posting.

Sounds like an exciting week of blog posts – I can’t wait! Of course, I also feel like I’ve fallen behind (and can’t catch up) on your other posts due to my past few days of internet connection problems (grrrr). :}
