Hi,
I am interested in making the jelly roll soap. I see the directions here but I would like to order the supplies from you and can’t quite tell how much I need of each ingredient. Placing an order right now for other things I am trying this season. I will try to call the store this week while you are open.
Thanks
Lisa

Maxine, here is a rough rough rough draft of the instructions that will eventually hit the blog:
The secret to making jelly roll soap is the timing. You must complete the entire project within about 20 to 30 minutes. If you wait any longer, the layers will split, crack or not roll.
We like making just four of five layers. Silicone cake pans are ideal and we recommend using the same brand of base for the different colors. Make sure you don’t use bleeding colors – so only non bleeding colors such as pigments, micas or Bramble Berry’s non-bleeding red.
1. Melt your soap in the microwave, taking care not to boil it.
2. Add 5% liquid glycerin
3. Add your fragrance & color
4. Pour the first layer.
5. As soon as the first layer is able to support another layer, follow steps 1 – 4 for layers 2 – 5.
6. When the final layer is hard enough, take the entire layered soap loaf and start to roll it. This takes patience, a strong grip and some kneading to get the soap to the exact shape and form you like.
7. Cut immediately. Saw the soap, like a piece of bread. Straight cuts tend to fall apart.
8. Wrap! Label! and Impress your friends and family! =)

I love those soaps for the Holiday season. Maybe make those for gifts? Would you like to post on the blog page the instructions for those?
