I know you’ve been missing Soap Queen TV and we’ve been hard at work.
In this episode, I show you how you can make your own custom mold using our Flexy Fast Molding Putty so you can make a really cool back-to-school gift for your teacher.
Back to School Special – Making Custom Molds from Soap Queen on Vimeo.
Here’s what you’ll need to make this project:

Hi Anne-Marie! I love all you tutorials and I have learned so much from your blog. I have a silly question though. I really like doing the CP, CPOP, HP soaps and wondered if I could do this with those processes? I guess it would take longer to cure, etc. but was just curious. I try to keep harsh ingredients and chemicals out of my soaps as much as possible and am not familiar enough with melt & pour to know what is in the bases. Again, thanks for the blog!! You are a huge inspiration to me, a very novice soaper!!

Jean- Yes, the soap/glue is flat on its back. Be sure to press the putty firmly into the glue to get all the authentic details. Chopping off the tip would definitely work but I just did a couple layers of orange while tilting the mold at an angle, then I filled the mold with white. The soap is really easy to unmold since it’s a flexible silicone. Good luck =)

Ok, so after watching the episode again, I'm thinking that the bottle of glue soap is probably flat on the back. If that's the case, I have a new question: Did you pour the whole thing with white soap and then cut off the tip and pour it in orange? I'd love to know for sure how you did it so I don't create extra work for myself.
Thanks again!
Jean

Hi Anne-Marie-
Thanks for the fun episode. I really love the bottle of glue and have a question about making it: Did you completely encase the bottle (except the bottom, of course!) when making the mold? It seems like the only way to do it, but I was wondering if it is hard to get the soap out. I would hate to go through all the work of making the mold and soap only to have the orange tip of the soap break off.
Thanks for all your great tutorials; they are really helpful and so much fun!
🙂 Jean

France- I'm glad you like my "scrapy" soaps. As far as the fragrance goes, I try to pick fragrances that will go well together and then hope for the best. So far, they've all turned out great.

Me again, on another note, namely this picture (and similar) http://twitpic.com/f0ci2 what do you do when you use a bunch of offcuts which may all have different scents? Do you use FO in the soap in which you embed the "scraps"? Or do you just hope for the best? Any tips in that respect? I used Champagne once, but my offcuts weren't very scented, and I sort of opened the bottle of Champagne FO and sniffed the soaps at the same time to get an idea of what I was about to do… worked OK!!
Your "scrap" soaps look GREAT!

Anne-Marie,
This was one of my favorite episodes! I know you had to talk really fast because you did two mini segments.
But it worked in your favor I believe; you had alot of sparkle shine and vivacity!!!! That translates into energy and enthusiasm to your audience that is not endearing but convincing!
I loved it! Thank you!
Next order am gonna get this stuff and I know I will be hooked for life! Last time it was out of stock 🙁
