Anyone that posts a comment this week on any article/blog post through Sunday will be entered into a drawing to win an assortment of 3-D soap molds! You’ll get five 3-D Soap molds and, if you’re a brand new soaper, let me know and I’ll make sure you get a free copy of the beginners Melt & Pour DVD as well.
If you’re looking for things to post about, a simple “Hi” would suffice. A “Hi! I wish you would focus more on XYZ on the blog” would be very helpful if you want extra-credit bonus points.
The winner will be chosen on Monday.

Hi Anne-Marie!
I’m a new-soaper-to-be. I’m looking for a good “how-to” book on soap making. On Teachsoap.com, you recommend “The SoapMakers Companion” by Susan Miller Cavitch. Are there any other books that might be especially good for beginners? Thanks in advance!
By the way, I love your blog! Brambleberry and Teachsoap.com are really cool too!

Michelle, thanks for tagging me! I’ll have fun with that this week.
Ruality, clear soap with the soap ropes does look a little off. It’s okay – and maybe I’m too much of a perfectionist – but I don’t like being able to see the insides of the soap when the soap ropes are embedded.

More business, more business, more business? Fun! That makes me happy since I talk business all time – it drives my friends and family a bit bonkers. And, Norman at work told me a few weeks back to start getting back to the basics (crafting and soaping) and quit blogging so much about business.
I’ll try to slip some business musings in the upcoming week.

Hi Anne-Marie-I discovered your blog a few weeks ago when I discovered you had made the cupcake bath bombs. I ordered the stuff and tried them. They turned out really well and I ejnoyed making them. I have also been trying my hand at M&P and have had some success. Thanks for all of your great ideas!

Hi Anne-Marie – I just found your blog and am loving it! I’m trying to catch up on all the archives, so maybe you’ve already covered my suggestion – but I would love to see more of the business aspect. I was psyched to see your business plan entry from a few days ago. I haven’t made soap in a couple years but am getting back into the swing of things. Hope to make a trip soon up to B’ham for supplies!

Can you use clear M&P with the soap on a rope idea, or does seeing the rope inside make it look too odd?

Hi Jennifer –
Definitely pass the blog along to Stephanie to read and enter the contest. All she needs to do is comment. =) And, the 3-D molds are perfect for melt and pour so she should hopefully enjoy this weeks posts.
I love the idea about displays and posting ideas for building great displays for cheap. Thanks for sharing it.

Oh, and more recipies or neat things to make would be totally cool. Or how to drum up more business, how to set up a craft table, how to find your niche market for scents, how to talk to customers without going into the health field (we can’t in canada).

I’m going to get my friend Stephanie to read your site, she is a budding soaper that has been obsessed with M&P.
