Yes, I am making great progress with the solid scrub formation. Expect a blog on that … eventually! =) Right now, I'm hard at work editing this week's SoapQueenTV episode. So far, it's coming in just short of 10 minutes! Eek!
I always use liquid titanium dioxide (it's just titanium dioxide, micronized, and put into liquid glycerin) but if I had to guess on the powder, I'd go with 1/8 of a teaspoon per pound – max.
Books: Herbal Home Spa by Greta Breedlove would be a great place to start:

I got the newsletter, and it was the second or third time I signed up. Maybe there is some kind of security hang up in our computers…..:)
Anne-Marie, did you perhaps have any kind of luck with a solid scrub formulation? I do think it could be worthwhile…and hopefully not too hard to figure. The link I sent you did have soap base in it….we just do not have any ideas on ratios, etc.
Also, how much titanium dioxide does it take to make a clear base into a white base? Can you tell me per 1 pound of soap?
Finally (sorry!!!) is there a good source for beginners in terms of recipes for body products! I love DonnaMaria's book and think it will be wonderful for the next level but until then…
I am compiling a notebook of alot of your recipes off the blog and teach soap and putting them per type for reference. But it would be great to have a handbook. For lotions, etc etc.
I have another question but don't want to be an oink oink 🙂 squeal squeal….thank you!

Hi Jan –
Look for an email from me or Courtney at Bramble Berry tomorrow, forwarding the newsletter to you. Thanks for letting me know you didn't get it. It's a cute one this month =)

Anne-Marie,
I know I have signed up for the BB newsletter a couple times, but I don't seem to be getting it. It is set up right in my mail client, so not sure what is happening.
Doesn't seem to be in the junk/spam folder either.
But I do want to know how to do these adorable pinwheels!
Thanks.
Jan Kelley
