Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful day full of family, food and fun. We had Kale-Quinoa Stuffing Muffins, Sweet Potato & Apple Casserole and Coconut Sweet Potato Pie for dessert.
This Thanksgiving celebration was smaller than usual; my brother and sister-in-law are in California. So it was just my parents, husband, the kiddos and myself. It was sweet but we missed family that weren’t there.
We have a meaningful tradition in our family: the Thankfulness Tablecloth. We all go around the table and talk about what we are particularly thankful for this year. Then, we take permanent markers and write our thankfulness thought on the white tablecloth. It is always a special moment when we all go around and share our meaning or thought and focuses the day on where it should be: gratitude.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. I am thankful for you and the entire Soap Queen community.

Oh Dianne, I am so sorry to read this. I know that it’s so rough but am very blessed to have not gone through it yet so yes, I cherish every moment. I have a very close friend that lost her Mom just this year and it has been brutal and heartbreaking to watch how broken and lost she is (even as an adult). Thank you for the reminder – and, for your support and cheerleading on all the places I post. I really appreciate it. =)

Anne,
Enjoy every minute with Mom and Dad. This was the first Thansgiving after 37 yrs of Dad cooking the huge Turkey, but he passed this yr. and he was not present!
So, enjoy your parents every moment you can! ☺️
