Flint River Soap Company was inspired by my little Pineapple Broken Cake experiment and made her own totally perfect, beautiful confection. Click here to see her successful yummy cake.
We are so honored – Whip Up has included one of our fun soap tutorials on their crafty compilation site. Click here to go see the How-To on making this fun Airplane soap.

WHERE did these cute little airplanes come from?
Anne-Marie says
Aren’t they adorable! We got them at a children’s store many years ago as a one off for the project. But, I’d love to find them again so I could carry them at Bramble Berry! =)

Gosh, it could be. That’s always a danger in business – similar and conflicting names. It happens more and more with our much more global economy and flattened world (thanks internet!).
Whenever that happens to us, we make sure we’re on strong legal footing (trademarks are often the only thing that matters if the business is over state lines) and then I usually drop the company or person in question a little note that’s totally low key. Many times, especially in a small industry, imitation is a mistake or truly an homage. I’ve never had anything get past the gentle and sweet note stage.
Best of luck with this. I hope that it works out smoothly and as hassle-free as possible for both of you.

Wow that is strange, I have Flint River Soap and Candle Factory registered with the state of Georgia for 3 years. Wonder if this is the same woman I contacted a few months ago in Georgia?

Hi J –
No worries about the song; it’s kind of funny actually! =)
I’ll edit the post again to reflect the no music thing now!

Neat! I was just at Whip-Up earlier tonight, but didn’t get to explore the links (so didn’t realize it was your creation) before I had to go do something else. Very cute…I think my boys will like this one.

Yikes – sorry – I just edited the post to warn others. =)
I’m so glad you like the airplane soap! The Whip Up site doesn’t have any music so you can easily look at the project directions without falling out of your chair! =)

I wish you’d warned me it was going to blare music! I almost fell out of my chair! I closed it quickly to shut off the noise and so didn’t see the site. Oh well… love the airplane soap and my grandson wants one right now he says!
