I couldn’t help but notice how awesome the discussion was on the ‘This is My New Normal’ blog post. It made me wonder, do you want more business posts? More personal musings? Or do you like things the way they are?

    I am fairly new to soaping and through your blog l have found many new and exciting things to try and the confidence to have a go and not worry if l make a mistake because mistakes are all part of the learning process and even experts can make mistakes.LOL

  11. I think the balance between business and fun is really good. It allows me to absorb the business aspect and really let it sink it without getting mentally overwhelmed. Being more of a CP kinda gal, I've been challenged to explore the fun details that can be accomplished with melt and pour.

  14. I took the survey. I love your blog. I love to do cold process soapmaking so I'm always on the lookout for more information on that process. I'm also interested in business information. I need all the help I can get. However, I like to be entertained, too. Too much work stuff makes me feel very inadequate when I can't keep up with all that others seem to do.

If you wanted to keep track of covering each category evenly, or pick one for each day of the week (like the tutorials on Thursdays) we would know what to look forward to, but it's fun to be surprised, informed and inspired with what you've shared too.

  30. Hi Ann-Marie! I took your survey too…. I LOVE the blog and wouldn't change a thing! I love that you respond to people's postings (like mine, when I'm having issues! Ha!), add in food recipes, family stuff, and business musings. It's ALL GREAT!

    I think keeping the other postings as well as the soap and candle tutorials is what makes you so personable and approachable. It lets us know that there's a REAL person behind the Soap Queen… and she loves sweets! I guess what I'm trying to say.. is that you just being YOU.. with all of the information you share… inspires the rest of us to know that we CAN do this!

I am not one that has followed you from the very beginning, so I know I probably missed that part somewhere along the way! But definitely would love to know how you did it. Also, how you balanced your life and how when you were in the 'garage phase' how you ran it like a real business. I have the hardest time working at home…I can't seem to get into work mode, until the house is spotless. It really eats into my time…HELP! I love what your current blog offers as well! I actually forwarded your musing about the New Normal to my mom, commenting on how important it is to refocus and stay positive. You are an inspriation. If I could make one comment for improvment, I would ask that maybe you include an "Ask Anne Marie" section, maybe once a week? I have sent you questions to info@brambleberry and sometimes don't get you, but get directed to the Soap Forum. I would love to be in direct contact with you, as I feel you are the authority. Maybe have people submit questions and then take the time to answer a whole bunch once a week? Maybe there will be many of the same questions, maybe there will be none!     I love the mix you have on your blog. Like others, I enjoy the tutorials and interesting things you find to buy as well as the business articles even though I am a hobbyist who sells occasionally. My opinion is for you to post whatever is interesting to you.

  114. Good survey idea! I took it and I must say, I do love your blog the way it is, however, I would love to heard more about business related stuff. It's nice to hear about business related things from a "real" person rather than a nameless, faceless, often boring book. And every small business owner can learn from and offer advice because no one can know everything and we can all learn from each other!
