Johanna in Customer Service made this awesome cold process soap with Smoky Patchouli, Grapeseeds and even knitted the washcloth herself! Nicole in Customer Service made the cute stamped soap on the right with Labcolors Orange and Energy Fragrance. They’re both great bars of soap with smooth even textures and amazing lather.

I use straight Patchouli with my soaps. As a teen in the 70’s; I used the Patchouli oil as a fragrance and STILL have some in the original bottle I had then! VINTAGE Patchouli for sure!
My 25 year old nephew loves Patchouli and I make and send him specially made soaps to California.
I’m looking forward to trying the Smokey Patchouli in the near future.

So after getting the boo boo face from many a friend – including my husband – for not soaping with patchouli, I am now soaping with patchouli. And I’m even making great 70s looking soap BALLS with it!! Gosh, I wish they weren’t all gone or I’d send you a picture.
I haven’t found anything else other than soap to do with it – so straight patch, patch/lime, patch/tea tree, and that’s it so far….

Patchouli is a new EO for me. I used to hate it, because of the “dirt smelling” type that my college roommate used to douse with. ew.
Since I’ve been soaping, I’ve come to love the mystery that it adds to recipes. Can’t wait to check out the Dusk & Smoky types.

Heidi, you totally need to try Patchouli. It is dark, sensual and very rich – and it warms up so nicely in blends. It’s a great anchoring scent.
GoatLady, I’ve not tried Patch-Euc before! It sounds delightful though. I make a great Patch-Spearmint and I’m betting it’s pretty similar.
Anon, I love that Patch gets better with age. It is absolutely stunning after a few years of aging and I have some samples that are going on 8 years old. I can hardly use them – they’re that precious and thick with resin and smoky deep notes.
Anon II, I have only had 1 ounce of real Sandalwood … ever. Having 8 ounces sounds like a fortune in Sandalwood. I would definitely hang onto that bottle!
Bramble Berry sells organic Essential Oils because for individuals that are super concerned about toxins and health, it matters to that potential customer base. The majority of our customers go with the regular essential oils, but we carry both to ensure that everyone’s needs are met. =)
I heard a rumor today that Patchouli pricing would be heading downward in the Fall.
I sure hope so …

you sound like me with sandalwood
I’ve been saving about 8oz for the last 4 years. I have patchouli and will only use it in very small batches.
I just hope the Big Boys will not, if they are not already, adulterate Patchouli Essential oil with Patchouli Fragrance oil.
On another note I use only organic essential oils. I some times wonder. Hey If I believe it so THEN IT IS 🙂

I haven’t tried patch yet, maybe I should when I order next!

Funny, I always bought patch, just so it could age. Find it on sale and pick up some. The older the better. I just have an expensive hobby, so when I saw that it had taken a huge price jump I was sitting with 7 pounds. Now, I see the Smoky and think, wonder what it is like? Then, I see there will be a Dusk, gotta be curious about both. FO & EO, equal opportunity soaper here. Once a patch junkie, always a patch junkie, LOL

Honestly I’ve never used Patchouli, and I don’t have a good reason why. = )

Those are such pretty bars of soaps! I wish I used patchouli so I could enter the contest. 😉
