I’ll admit it. I bought Britney Spear’s new CD. And (defensive voice) it’s good. The CD should be an effective comeback vehicle for her (if she can get her personal act in gear).
What’s not good is her profligate spending habits. Click here to see CNN’s article on Britney’s spending round-up. It’s a textbook example of money not buying happiness and also proof that even rich people don’t save.

I saw a special on her the other day and she was surprisingly down to earth…. very human. Of course, the special was putting her in a favourable light.
I also watched The Simple Life 2 that day, and learned that Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie are more useless than I could have imagined.

I would assume that as a child, she was busy working and probably got what she wanted with no understanding of consequences. Unfortunately, her emotional growth was affected, as it is apparent with her current behavior. I know some do not feel sorry for her because of her wealth, but I do. Hopefully this does not end up being a complete tragedy where these two little boys end up loosing their mother permanently.

My advice for Britney:
Apply all those riches to some good parenting classes.
