It’s a beautiful Sunday evening here in Bellingham, WA. I hope you’ve all had a fabulous weekend and got to relax a little bit today. I’ve spent the day with my fabulous husband and mother in law. And, I also found time to conduct a little eyelash experiment (and who better to share it with than my Soap Queen friends?).
Dear Diary,
Today is the first day on my quest for longer eyelashes. I just received my elongating eyelash kit in the mail from Talika. It’s a plant extract based gel that will “possibly” grow my lashes longer and thicker in just 28 days. Can you imagine? Well, I’m giving it a shot! See ya in 28 days with the results!
XXOO,
~Anne-Marie

PS – Federal Trade Commissioners who might be reading my diary, I paid full retail for the Talika eyelash growth set. It’s not a free sample.

you should take a before and after photo so we can see the change, if any 😛 x

I totally agree with you all – brown splotches on my eyes are not worth longer lashes for =)
These are the ingredients:
Lipocils Inggredients: Aqua (water), Lecithin, Carbomer, Hypericum Perforatum (hypericum Extract), Pyrus Malus (Apple Extract), Hamamelis Hippocastanum (Witch Hazel Extraxt), Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chesnet Extract), Uritca Dioica (Nettle extract), Sodium Lactate, Lactic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Allantoin, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben.
They seem pretty tame – like nothing in there like the prescription Latisse that can cause the discoloration. But, I am now on red alert for that.
I'll keep you posted =) It's a vain, silly quest but who better to share it with than my Soap Queen friends? =)

Ugh! I hate it when the FTC reads my diary!

What are the ingredients? If it is just some nice oils and such you should be ok, moist lashes look lovelier. 😉
Good Luck, will be waiting for the results.

I am taking xalatan for glaucoma and,yes you do get longer lashes in about a month, but with this you also get browning around your eyes, and with this drug your irises also willturn dark. I hope the natural eyelash products don't do this for you because I can tell you, the longer lashes are not worth the discoloration!

All these eyelash growth kits make me uneasy. The prescription one is apparently a repurposed glaucoma drug. (Glaucoma patients noticed eyelash growth, drug was rebranded. "All natural" doesn't really tell you much either. And eyes are something I'm pretty fond of, so I worry about anything so close to them.
But I'm looking forward to what you have to say about it.

Even though it's natural…does it say anything like it will discolor your skin like the one we see advertised on the t.v. all the time?
It will be interesting to see if it really does work and you can actually see a difference.
Does it mention if this would be a permanent growth, even after you stop using the product?
