Pack It Up!

Exciting news from the Bramble Berry warehouse!

Bramble Berry just installed TWO new packing machines that will help increase our shipping efficiency AND decrease our shipping damages (which are never fun to deal with). We’re so excited to be able to better serve our customers (that’s YOU)!

As a result, we weren’t able to ship out orders for nearly an entire day and are running a little behind our usual 24 hour turnaround. We plan on making up the time very quickly so we’ll  be back to our regular schedule soon!

On your next order you can look forward to a peanut free package from Bramble Berry!

Welcome Little Man

I just returned from visiting Anne-Marie and her family at the hospital and the little Bramble Bump is adorably cute. But you don’t have to take my word for it, look at that little face!

 

He was 6 pounds 13 ounces, 19 inches long and perfect in every way.

In celebration of this newest addition to our Bramble Berry family we have put a bunch of blue and boy things on sale. Everything on this page is 20% off! Woo hoo!

Baked Dendritic Bath Salts. So Relaxing!

Mmmmmm…… A hot  bath with soothing salt and delicate fragrance sounds really good right now. So here’s an easy and fool-proof method for making bath salts.

Dendritic Salt has a greater surface area than other salts which means the fragrance (or essential) oils and color stick better and with more OOMPH! Many crafters add Dendritic Salt to their Sea Salt formulations for the non-clumping capabilities. But this isn’t just any bath salt recipe…this is a baked bath salt recipe. We’re baking in the colorant and fragrance oil  leaving a smooth, dry and clump free texture. People are going to ask you how you got such a nice consistency with such a fine salt. Shhhh…it’s our little secret!

Zoe-Life Shout Out

Loving my order from, Zoe-Life! When I saw these happy and foody soaps I couldn’t resist the splurge!
Pictured above are the Dead Sea Salt Bar, Cupcake and Kisses (my favorite) and Butt Naked Felted Soap.
Below are some pictures from Erika, owner of Zoe-Life.
Naturally I loved her sweet cupcakes and kisses soap so Erica (Zoe-Life creator)was  kind enough to share her technique so the Soap Queen readers could have their hand at making their own. Here’s a brief description of her process.
“Ok, this was my first attempt, but I adore these little cupcakes I found. I have a soft spot for all things sweet. I made this Cupcake ‘n Kisses soap using melt n pour for the cupcakes and chocolate kisses. I used the basic soap recipe but replaced the water with Aloe Vera juice and used three oxide colors, pink, turquoise and titanium dioxide. I used Bramble Berry lcp melt n pour for the cupcakes and the kisses. I used glitter and some sugar sprinkles to cover the top (next time I will use jojoba beads for the sprinkles.) Then I used a yummy peppermint patty fragrance. It smells so sweet and good.  Anyway, you were an inspiration for me to do something with cupcakes. It was lots of fun!”

Embedding Toys in Soap on Soap Queen TV

On this episode of SoapQueen.TV,  I show how to use our totally adorable Japanese erasers. This project uses the layering and embedding techniques to make an entire loaf of soap, making 8 -10 bars just in time for Easter! This project is easy to customize with different colors or fragrances.

Bramble Bump Report

With just 20 or so days to go until we meet our little Bramble Bump, he is growing like a champ. Our last ultrasound showed him at 5 pounds, 6 ounces and that was 10 days ago! He should be over 6 pounds now. My waist is currently 41″ around and I’ve gained 26 pounds for the pregnancy (thus far – we still have a little bit to go!).

ELF Pizza Party: An Educational Field Trip

The BB crew took an educational field trip to our “brother” company,  ELF Industrial, to learn the ropes, see some new molds and bond over some ‘za (what we used to call pizza in the 80’s). My younger brother, Erik, is the manager of the company and was a gem to take the afternoon to show us the ins and outs of the company. Erik also runs Bramble Berry’s retail store, Otion the Soap Bar and The Soap King blog. I am especially thankful to have Erik on board running these two ventures with the little Bramble Bump about to make his appearance any day now (April 23 is the due date!).
