For this recipe, we chose fractionated coconut oil. It’s extremely lightweight and thin so it works well in the Mini Spray Bottles. If you’d like to use a slightly heavier oil, we recommend using a roller ball container to avoid clogging.

DIY Floral Body Oil Set

• 10 Mini Spray Bottles
• Floral Body Oil Labels
• 3 oz. Fractionated Coconut Oil
• up to 0.4 oz. Blushing Orchid Fragrance Oil
• up to 1.4 oz. Daisy Chain Fragrance Oil
• up to 0.6 oz. Baby’s Breath Fragrance Oil
• up to 0.3 oz. Wild Rose Fragrance Oil

Instructions

• Pour 3 ounces of fractionated coconut oil into a small container.
• Add the fragrance oil of your choice and use a spoon to thoroughly mix the oils together.
• Carefully transfer the oil mixture to the Mini Spray Bottles. If you have a hard time pouring with a steady hand, using a dropper can help. Apply a label to the bottle for a finishing touch. To use, spray the oil onto the skin. Rub in gently to help the skin absorb the oil. Enjoy.

Massage oil is one of the easiest bath and body DIY projects. Simply mix skin-loving oils with fragrance and you have boutique-quality massage oil at home. The Massage Essential Oil Blend gives this oil a rich and spicy scent.

This massage oil is made with some of the most sought-after exotic oils: argan, jojoba, and moringa seed oil. Fractionated coconut oil is added to give the oil a lighter feel. If you don’t have one of these oils on hand, you can use a substitute. Just keep in mind that it will change the texture and moisturizing properties slightly.

The Massage Essential Oil Blend is a complex blend of pure essential oils. It was specifically formulated for massage and body oils. It contains more than 10 essential oils, including peppermint, rosemary, cinnamon, lavender, and elemi. Learn more about the blend here. If your hair is feeling dry, oil might be the answer. This is especially true if you use hot styling tools every day or color your hair. Hair oil can be used in a variety of ways depending on your hair texture and severity of dryness. This Hydrating Hair Oil was specifically formulated to be easy to make and to be used in a variety of ways depending on your preference. Fractionated coconut oil gives this oil an overall light texture, while argan oil adds amazing antioxidant properties along with a blend of fatty acids that are amazing for hair.

Need some extreme moisture? Gently heat the hair oil and apply to dry hair. Wrap your hair in a warm, dry towel and allow the oil to penetrate the oil for about 30 minutes. Wash out thoroughly; it will probably take two shampoos to fully remove the oil. You can also apply a small amount of oil to the ends of dry or wet hair to keep hair smooth throughout the day. ONE: In a small container, combine the fractionated coconut oil, argan oil, cucumber extract, and lavender 40/42 essential oil. Stir until everything is fully mixed together.

TWO: Slowly and carefully, pour the hair oil into the three brushed aluminum bottles. You can use a funnel if you like. Cap the bottles with the pump top and enjoy!

If you’d like to use the oil as a hot treatment, pump the oil into a heat-safe container and heat on 10-second bursts. You want the oil warm but not too hot, otherwise it can burn the scalp. Spread the warm oil over your hair. Put on a shower cap and then a warm towel, or just a towel if you like. Leave the oil on for 30 minutes up to 2 hours, then wash it out. This oil can also be used (very) sparingly on the ends of hair to keep them hydrated, or can be applied to skin to keep it soft and hydrated during any season.

For this perfume I chose a mixture of Bramble Berry’s Juicy Couture Fragrance Oil and Exotic Musk Fragrance Oil. The Juicy Couture Type Fragrance is a blend of both fruity and floral scents, and smells incredibly feminine. It’s based on the popular perfume and contains notes of mandarin, lily, sandalwood and vanilla. The Exotic Musk Fragrance Oil helps bring out the base notes and creates a slightly more sophisticated scent. Of course this recipe can be customized with whichever fragrance oils you may prefer!

Perfume is considered a “leave-on” product. A leave-on product is anything that is not washed off after application, such as lotion or balms. Because the ingredients stay on the skin, it’s important to use a safe amount of fragrance oil. Remember, when fragrance oils are applied directly to the skin, they can cause irritation. One way to find out how much fragrance to use is to select “lotion” on the Bramble Berry Fragrance Calculator. But, you may notice that usage rate is extremely small. This is because the fragrance calculator errs on the side of extreme caution. To find out the maximum usage rate for a fragrance oils in leave on products such as perfumes, consult the IFRA Certificate for the fragrance oil. That can be requested by emailing MSDS (at) Brambleberry (dot) com.
