<p style="text-align: left;">Made with coffee grounds, <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Coffee-Butter-P3444.aspx?" target="_blank" rel="noopener">coffee butter</a> and <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Coffee-Seed-Oil-P6748.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">coffee oil</a>, this easy scrub is perfect for any coffee-lover. Coffee grounds exfoliate away dead skin, while the coffee oil and coffee butter leave skin feeling smooth. A touch of <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Potassium-Cocoate-P5902.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">potassium cocoate</a> prevents an overly-greasy feel.</p>
<p>This scrub can be used with fresh or used coffee grounds. If you add used coffee grounds, make sure they are completely dry to avoid bacterial growth. Any product that contains water needs a preservative to prevent mold. While this scrub is only made with oil and <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Potassium-Cocoate-P5902.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">potassium cocoate</a>, the recipe does contain <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Optiphen-P3682.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Optiphen</a> because it may come in contact with water in the shower. It can be omitted if you prefer.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-65460" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Coffee-Scrub-DIY.jpg" alt="Coffee Scrub DIY" width="700" height="957" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Coffee-Scrub-DIY.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Coffee-Scrub-DIY-219x300.jpg 219w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Coffee-Scrub-DIY-366x500.jpg 366w" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Coffee-Seed-Oil-P6748.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Coffee oil</a> is the star of this scrub. It is extracted directly from roasted coffee beans and has a thick texture and dark color. The combination of the coffee oil, <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Coffee-Butter-P3444.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">coffee butter</a>, and coffee grounds gives the recipe a nice coffee smell. We added a touch of <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Espresso-Fragrance-Oil-P5889.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Espresso Fragrance Oil</a> to give the scrub slightly sweeter notes. If you&#8217;re using quality, fresh coffee grounds, you may find you don&#8217;t need to use any fragrance oil at all.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-65461" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Coffee-Scrub-Tutorial.jpg" alt="Coffee Scrub Tutorial" width="700" height="997" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Coffee-Scrub-Tutorial.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Coffee-Scrub-Tutorial-211x300.jpg 211w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Coffee-Scrub-Tutorial-351x500.jpg 351w" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">This scrub is quite &#8220;dry,&#8221; but leaves behind a light oily-feel on the skin. While the coffee oil is quite dark, the scrub doesn&#8217;t leave any color on the skin, thanks to the potassium cocoate. You could also use a <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Natural-Castile-Liquid-Soap-Base-P4609.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">liquid soap base</a> if you prefer.</p>
