Facebook Photo of the Week 1/11 – 1/18
What an exciting week we’ve had here at Bramble Berry! I’ve enjoyed watching the hundreds of photos coming in from our newest Make it Monday contest and awed and inspired by your creativity. We still have another week to go and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us. We’ve also released another new SQTV episode featuring Jeanee from Dirty Laundry — check it out here. Are you ready for this weeks winner? Check below…
Facebook Photo of the Week 12/31 – 1/4
2013 is here and is it just me, but does 2012 seem very long ago now? I had fun looking back on some of Bramble Berry’s achievements of 2012 in this post. Onward and upwards in 2013; we’ve already posted a few tutorials (click here and here), a brand new Soap Queen TV episode, and we’ve already seen some incredible bath and body products shared with us on our Facebook page. Speaking of Facebook, our Facebook Photo of the Week! Drum roll please…
This week’s photo comes to us from Jasmine Hales. We first met Jasmine when she posted a comment on the Hot Process Series: Crock Pot Camo tutorial. She told us that she had just started soaping with goat’s milk (her family raises goats) and that she is 15 years old. I was totally stunned, and knew I wanted to know more about her. Since then, Jasmine has become part of Bramble Berry’s Facebook community and I’ve really enjoyed seeing her interact with other soapers and post her gorgeous soapy pictures. Jasmine told us that this soap is a Cucumber Puree Soap made with coconut milk and scented with Bramble Berry’s Sleigh Ride Fragrance Oil. Thanks for being part of our Facebook page and keep your eyes on the lookout for a fun little package being sent your way!

Facebook Photo of the Week 12/17 – 12/21
Christmas is only four days away and I just can’t wait (family, family, family!). This month has been full of fun projects like our Hot Process series: Crock Pot Camo, CPOP Swirls, and HPOP Layers; interesting contests like our Make it Monday: #Christmas Schwag; and even a couple Facebook photos of the week (see here and here). We also celebrated this month of giving by going out on our annual Salvation Army Shopping Trip and holding our Bramble Berry Cooke Exchange (more on that later, but check out last year’s swap here). But, on with the show. Here’s the winner of this week’s Facebook Photo of the Week:
This week’s photo comes to us from Linda of The Enchanted Bath. Linda shared a gorgeous cold process soap made with our Turkish Mocha Fragrance Oil that had me drooling all over my keyboard (since I know what that fragrance smells like and in a word, it is ah-maz-ing). Using just the fragrance oil to color the soap’s main body, Linda added a touch of Titanium Dioxide to the frosting to keep it nice and white. She says that the Turkish Mocha “Smells delicious and it’s flying off the shelves at my store. I highly recommend this fragrance!” Thanks for being a part of our soaping community on our Facebook page Linda, I’ve really enjoyed watching you grow in your craft and try new things with your soaping. There is a special little package headed your way. [Read more…]

This week I’ve been getting ready for Christmas by baking cookies for our upcoming cookie swap and going on our annual Salvation Army shopping trip! It has been so much fun seeing all your fabulous Christmas-themed products in our Make it Monday: #Christmas Schwag Challenge (check out the Facebook album here). Givember Gift Certificate Winners
Givember was a blast. We couldn’t have had more fun if we tried! Each week during the month of November, we sent out an exclusive newsletter (to Bramble Berry newsletter subscribers) with a brand new tutorial complete with a free download, as well as revealing the weekly free sample kits that were available with a minimum purchase in November. Boy, those kits went fast…thanks to you!
We’ve saved something special for last though. Do you recall seeing a bright pink slip of paper in your orders from September and October with a special coupon code on it? Well, we kept track of everyone that used those coupon codes, and each week we chose a winner for a special treat! Four lucky soapers were picked to receive a $75 Bramble Berry Gift Certificate. And the winners are:
Kristen Zimmerman of Smelly Goods & Pretties
Rachel Obrien of Orange Thyme
Susan Stillwell of Susan’s Sumptuous Soaps
Candace Weingart of Saved Objects Soaps and Lotions
We also enlisted some of our favorite bloggers to rock out a special Givember blog post and give their readers a coupon code to enter an exclusive reader-only drawing. This drawing had two spectacular prizes! The winners are:
Karen Chambers – $50 Bramble Berry Gift Certificate
Rachel Chieppa – $250 Bramble Berry Gift Certificate
Congratulations to all the winners! And thanks to everyone for your amazing participation in Givember. Winners, keep an eye on your email. Those gift certificates will be sent out soon!
Facebook Photo of the Week 12/3 – 12/7
This week has been so much fun for us here at Bramble Berry. We started it off with our latest Make it Monday Challenge and it’s all about my favorite holiday…Christmas! I also worked on a fun CPOP (Cold Process Oven Process) soap tutorial with an extended FAQ section and the PERFECT Christmas Red blend that you can check out here. And, if you’d like to try out something new, check out Amanda of Lovin’ Soap’s fun tutorial on how to felt your soap here. Phew, it’s been busy but great! Now onto our winner of this weeks Facebook Photo of the Week.

Make it Monday: #Christmas Schwag
It’s coming up on the end of the year (I can hardly believe it!) and that means it is our very last #Make it Monday challenge of 2012. We’ve seen some pretty incredible projects over the last six months and can’t wait to see what you have in store for us for this challenge! Are you ready for it?

Facebook Photo of the Week 11/26 – 11/30
Happy Friday! I’ve been touring all of the fabulous bath and body products everybody has been posting on our Facebook page. There have been some super creative ideas and I found a totally adorable soapy photo-op idea that we just have to try out with the Bramble Bump (psst…have you voted in the Bramble Bump poll yet?). Now for the winner of this week’s Facebook Photo of the Week…
This week’s photo comes to us from Marcy of Kiku’s Creations. I was floored by how absolutely realistic her Rose Petal Soaps looked. Yes, those are soaps! I love the idea of using them as single-use soaps in a guest bathroom or as a special Valentine’s Day gift. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing soapy creation with us! Expect a special little package to be headed your way.

#Halloween Challenge Eye Candy
Is it just me or does it feel like Halloween was yesterday? Sheesh, time is flying. It’s already almost December, people! Anyway, I thought I’d share with you all of the great entries from the Make it Monday #Halloween challenge. You can see the winners of the challenger here, and also check out the #Halloween Facebook album which is chock-full of pictures from this and all the previous Make it Monday challenges. Itching to compete? There’s still time to enter the #Nail Polish challenge! And, pssst…our next challenge coming up this Monday will be another holiday themed challenge. Because if I didn’t mention it before, it’s already almost DECEMBER.
Facebook Photo of the Week 11/19 – 11/23
After a short work week and a great Thanksgiving celebration, I was browsing Bramble Berry’s Facebook page and realized it was time to pick our Facebook Photo of the Week (what a fun way to end my week)! We had so many fun photos to pick from this week and it was just so hard to pick one! Drum roll please…
This week’s photo comes to us of Juli of Inspiri Body. It really has an artistic flair to it and it reminded of some yummy artisan chocolates that I’ve seen (and eaten)! Juli said, “I used two techniques in one soap. First, I used a discoloring fragrance (Warm Vanilla Sugar) to my advantage and tried to make a Mantra Swirl from the Soap Queen Tutorial. It is not perfect, but I love how it came out!” I loved the techniques you used to make this soap work for you, Juli!
