<p style="text-align: left;">If your hair is feeling dry, oil might be the answer. This is especially true if you use hot styling tools every day or color your hair. Hair oil can be used in a variety of ways depending on your hair texture and severity of dryness. This Hydrating Hair Oil was specifically formulated to be easy to make and to be used in a variety of ways depending on your preference. <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/CaprylicCapric-Triglycerides-Fractionated-Coconut-Oil-P4957.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fractionated coconut oil</a> gives this oil an overall light texture, while <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Argan-Oil-P5574.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">argan oil</a> adds <a href="http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.2042-7158.2010.01190.x/full" target="_blank" rel="noopener">amazing antioxidant properties</a> along with a blend of fatty acids that are amazing for hair.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-61335 size-full" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Lavender-Hair-and-Body-Oil-Treatment.jpg" alt="DIY Lavender Hair Oil Treatment" width="700" height="509" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Lavender-Hair-and-Body-Oil-Treatment.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Lavender-Hair-and-Body-Oil-Treatment-300x218.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Lavender-Hair-and-Body-Oil-Treatment-688x500.jpg 688w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Lavender-Hair-and-Body-Oil-Treatment-160x115.jpg 160w" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></p>
<p>Need some extreme moisture? Gently heat the hair oil and apply to dry hair. Wrap your hair in a warm, dry towel and allow the oil to penetrate the oil for about 30 minutes. Wash out thoroughly; it will probably take two shampoos to fully remove the oil. You can also apply a small amount of oil to the ends of dry or wet hair to keep hair smooth throughout the day. This recipe is also suitable for beards, facial hair and can be used as a body oil. This project also includes free templates! <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Home-Spa-Label-Template-downloadable-PDF-P6689.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Download them here</a>.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>ONE: </strong>In a small container, combine the fractionated coconut oil, argan oil, cucumber extract, and lavender 40/42 essential oil. Stir until everything is fully mixed together.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>TWO:</strong> Slowly and carefully, pour the hair oil into the three brushed aluminum bottles. You can use a <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Funnel-8-oz-P5134.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">funnel</a> if you like. Cap the bottles with the pump top and enjoy!</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-61340 aligncenter" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/FIVE.jpg" alt="five" width="700" height="500" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/FIVE.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/FIVE-300x214.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/FIVE-160x115.jpg 160w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">If you&#8217;d like to use the oil as a hot treatment, pump the oil into a heat-safe container and heat on 10-second bursts. You want the oil warm but not too hot, otherwise it can burn the scalp. Spread the warm oil over your hair. Put on a shower cap and then a warm towel, or just a towel if you like. Leave the oil on for 30 minutes up to 2 hours, then wash it out. This oil can also be used (very) sparingly on the ends of hair to keep them hydrated, or can be applied to skin to keep it soft and hydrated during any season.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Cucumber is such a soothing and refreshing fragrance. It&#8217;s the perfect scent to relax and rejuvenate. Earlier this week, I mixed it with lavender to create <a href="https://soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/cucumber-lavender-bath-bomb-diy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cucumber &amp; Lavender Bath Bombs</a>. Now that our skin has been treated to a hot bath, the next step in the home spa experience is to scrub away dead skin. This Cucumber Sea Salt Scrub does the trick.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-61327 size-full" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Cucumber-Sea-Salt-Scrub.jpg" alt="Cucumber Melon Sea Salt Scrub DIY" width="700" height="500" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Cucumber-Sea-Salt-Scrub.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Cucumber-Sea-Salt-Scrub-300x214.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Cucumber-Sea-Salt-Scrub-160x115.jpg 160w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></p>
<p>The base of this scrub is <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Foaming-Bath-Butter-P4955.aspx?" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Foaming Bath Butter</a>. It&#8217;s a premade base that when whipped with a hand or stand mixer, transforms into a light and fluffy consistency. It is made of gentle surfactants that mildly cleanse the skin. To the base, a combination of <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Fine-Grained-Dead-Sea-Salt-P4085.aspx?" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fine Grained Dead Sea Salt</a> and <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Forest-Green-Jojoba-Beads-P4389.aspx?" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Forest Green Jojoba Beads</a> are added. The jojoba beads add a light green color and gentle exfoliation. <a href="https://soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/tips-and-tricks/jojoba-beads-vs-microbeads-whats-the-difference/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Learn more about jojoba beads here</a>, and how they differ from microbeads.</p>
<p>Fine grained Dead Sea salt is great for the body, but can be a little scratchy on gentle facial skin. The amount of salt in this recipe provides gentle exfoliation. If you prefer something &#8220;scrubbier,&#8221; feel free to add more salt to suit your preference. We also created <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Home-Spa-Label-Template-downloadable-PDF-P6689.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">free printable labels</a> for this scrub! Simply add download the label and print the labels on <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Waterproof-Labels-P3005.aspx?" target="_blank" rel="noopener">waterproof label paper</a>.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>ONE:</strong> In a large bowl, use a hand mixer (or a stand mixer) to break up the Foaming Bath Butter and whip it into a smooth, light and fluffy texture.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-61199 aligncenter" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/ONE-8.jpg" alt="one" width="700" height="500" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/ONE-8.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/ONE-8-300x214.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/ONE-8-160x115.jpg 160w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></p>
<p><strong>TWO:</strong> Add the cucumber extract, and Cucumber Melon Fragrance Oil. Use the mixer to fully incorporate the ingredients.<br />
<em>A note about preservatives: Because the Foaming Bath Butter already contains a preservative, an additional preservative was not used in this recipe. If you would like to add a preservative, a .5% usage rate is recommended so as to not over preserve the product. <p><strong>THREE: </strong>Add the fine grained Dead Sea salt and jojoba beads. Use the mixer to fully blend the ingredients together. Use a spatula to scrape the sides of the bowl as necessary to make sure everything is combined.</p>

<p><strong>FOUR:</strong> Scoop the scrub into jars. Enjoy! To use, apply to damp skin and gently scrub the product. This scrub is suited for the legs and body, but may be a little harsh for gentle facial skin.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Everybody needs to treat themselves every now and then. If you&#8217;re in need of some pampering, there is no need to leave the house. You can enjoy the luxury of the spa at home by whipping up a few easy bath &amp; beauty products. For the next two weeks, be on the lookout for a collection of tutorials to turn your home into a spa. These projects are also great for a crafting with friends if get-togethers are your way of de-stressing.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-61224 aligncenter" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Cucumber-Lavender-Bath-Bombs.jpg" alt="cucumber-lavender-bath-bombs" width="700" height="500" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Cucumber-Lavender-Bath-Bombs.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Cucumber-Lavender-Bath-Bombs-300x214.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Cucumber-Lavender-Bath-Bombs-160x115.jpg 160w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></p>
<p>The first project in this series are these Cucumber &amp; Lavender Bath Bombs. A hot bath is an instant de-stresser, and also preps the skin for scrub and moisturizer. These bath bombs are scented with a calming blend of <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Lavender-4042-Essential-Oil-P3664.aspx?" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lavender 40/42 Essential Oil</a> and <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Cucumber-Melon-Fragrance-Oil-P3857.aspx?" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cucumber Melon Fragrance Oil</a>. The bath bombs also contain <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Cucumber-Extract-P6362.aspx?" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cucumber Extract</a>, which is known for its soothing properties. The extract is dispersed in <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/CaprylicCapric-Triglycerides-Fractionated-Coconut-Oil-P4957.aspx?" target="_blank" rel="noopener">fractionated coconut oil</a>, which adds a touch of moisturizing properties to the bath water. The green and purple hues are created with <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/For-Bath-Bombs-C50.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">La Bomb colorants</a>, which are specifically made for bath bombs. <a href="https://soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/bath-fizzies/la-bomb-colorants/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Learn more about them here</a>.</p>
<p>Be on the lookout for a Cucumber Salt Scrub, Lavender Hair Oil, Cucumber &amp; Lavender Facial Water and Lavender Lotion Bar in the next two weeks. By the end, we will all be 100% relaxed and right for the holidays, right? =) If you plan on giving these projects away as gifts, <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Home-Spa-Label-Template-downloadable-PDF-P6689.aspx?" target="_blank" rel="noopener">download and print free label templates for the projects</a>.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>ONE:  </strong>In a large bowl, mix together the baking soda and citric acid. To get rid of clumps in the mixture, you can push the powders through a sifter or break up the clumps with your fingers. Citric acid has a tendency to take off nail polish, so wear gloves to protect your manicure. Thoroughly stir the ingredients together.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>TWO:</strong> Add the cucumber extract, Cucumber Melon Fragrance Oil and Lavender 40/42 Essential Oil. Thoroughly mix the wet ingredients into the dry. I have found that using your hands works best for this step!</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-61184 aligncenter" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/THREE-6.jpg" alt="three" width="700" height="500" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/THREE-6.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/THREE-6-300x214.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/THREE-6-160x115.jpg 160w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-61175 aligncenter" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/FOUR-6.jpg" alt="four" width="700" height="500" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/FOUR-6.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/FOUR-6-300x214.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/FOUR-6-160x115.jpg 160w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-61174 aligncenter" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/FIVE-6.jpg" alt="five" width="700" height="500" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/FIVE-6.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/FIVE-6-300x214.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/FIVE-6-160x115.jpg 160w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /><br />
<strong>THREE:</strong> Once the mixture is completely incorporated, split the mixture into two even containers. To one container, add drops of the Lilac La Bomb and add drops of the Irish Green La Bomb to the other container. A little La Bomb colorant goes a long way; I used about four drops of each colorant to achieve the colors shown. Use your hands to break up the drops of color and disperse them throughout the mixture.<br />
<em>NOTE: Do keep in mind that your bath bomb will lighten in color once completely dry. </em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-61179" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/SIX-6.jpg" alt="six" width="700" height="500" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/SIX-6.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/SIX-6-300x214.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/SIX-6-160x115.jpg 160w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-61178" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/SEVEN-6.jpg" alt="seven" width="700" height="500" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/SEVEN-6.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/SEVEN-6-300x214.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/SEVEN-6-160x115.jpg 160w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>FOUR: </strong>Begin spritzing each container with witch hazel, while mixing with your hands or a spatula. Continue spritzing until the mixture is a texture that holds its shape when squeezed. Below, you can see that the mixture forms a ball when squeezed. This means that the mixture will hold its shape in the mold as well.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-61172 aligncenter" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/EIGHT-5.jpg" alt="eight" width="700" height="500" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/EIGHT-5.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/EIGHT-5-300x214.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/EIGHT-5-160x115.jpg 160w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>FIVE:</strong> Once the bath bomb mixture has the correct texture, it&#8217;s time to start filling up the molds. Add a small pinch of lavender buds to the center of one half of the mold. Start filling the mold with small amounts of the green, then purple mixture. Once one half of the mold is full, press the bath bomb mixture down to compress it and continue layering the purple and green colors if possible.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-61176 aligncenter" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/NINE-4.jpg" alt="nine" width="700" height="500" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/NINE-4.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/NINE-4-300x214.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/NINE-4-160x115.jpg 160w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-61181 aligncenter" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/TEN2.jpg" alt="ten2" width="700" height="500" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/TEN2.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/TEN2-300x214.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/TEN2-160x115.jpg 160w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-61182 aligncenter" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/TEN3.jpg" alt="ten3" width="700" height="500" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/TEN3.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/TEN3-300x214.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/TEN3-160x115.jpg 160w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /><strong><br />
SIX:</strong> Continue layering the green and purple bath bomb mixtures into the other half of the mold. Press it into the mold to compact it. Add a little extra bath bomb mixture into each half, but don’t press it down. Slightly overfilling with “loose” bath bomb mixture helps the two sides to stick together better. Match up the eyelets of each mold, and press together. To avoid any imperfections on your bath bomb, make sure to direct pressure to the edges of the mold rather than the center. Allow the bath fizzies to harden in the mold for 24 hours. Remove from the mold once you’re ready to use, place in the tub and enjoy!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-61183" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/TEN4.jpg" alt="ten4" width="700" height="500" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/TEN4.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/TEN4-300x214.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/TEN4-160x115.jpg 160w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-61173" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/ELEVEN-3.jpg" alt="eleven" width="700" height="500" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/ELEVEN-3.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/ELEVEN-3-300x214.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/ELEVEN-3-160x115.jpg 160w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></p>

To get rid of clumps in the mixture, you can push the powders through a sifter or break up the clumps with your fingers. Citric acid has a tendency to take off nail polish, so wear gloves to protect your manicure. Thoroughly stir the ingredients together.</div></li><li id="wprm-recipe-73952-step-0-1" class="wprm-recipe-instruction" style="list-style-type: decimal;"><div class="wprm-recipe-instruction-text" style="margin-bottom: 5px;">Add the cucumber extract, Cucumber Melon Fragrance Oil and Lavender 40/42 Essential Oil. Thoroughly mix the wet ingredients into the dry. I have found that using your hands works best for this step!</div></li><li id="wprm-recipe-73952-step-0-2" class="wprm-recipe-instruction" style="list-style-type: decimal;"><div class="wprm-recipe-instruction-text" style="margin-bottom: 5px;">Once the mixture is completely incorporated, split the mixture into two even containers. To one container, add drops of the Lilac La Bomb and add drops of the Irish Green La Bomb to the other container. A little La Bomb colorant goes a long way; I used about four drops of each colorant to achieve the colors shown. Use your hands to break up the drops of color and disperse them throughout the mixture.</div></li><li id="wprm-recipe-73952-step-0-3" class="wprm-recipe-instruction" style="list-style-type: decimal;"><div class="wprm-recipe-instruction-text" style="margin-bottom: 5px;">Begin spritzing each container with witch hazel, while mixing with your hands or a spatula. Continue spritzing until the mixture is a texture that holds its shape when squeezed. Below, you can see that the mixture forms a ball when squeezed. This means that the mixture will hold its shape in the mold as well.</div></li><li id="wprm-recipe-73952-step-0-4" class="wprm-recipe-instruction" style="list-style-type: decimal;"><div class="wprm-recipe-instruction-text" style="margin-bottom: 5px;">Once the bath bomb mixture has the correct texture, it’s time to start filling up the molds. Add a small pinch of lavender buds to the center of one half of the mold. Start filling the mold with small amounts of the green, then purple mixture. Once one half of the mold is full, press the bath bomb mixture down to compress it and continue layering the purple and green colors if possible.</div></li><li id="wprm-recipe-73952-step-0-5" class="wprm-recipe-instruction" style="list-style-type: decimal;"><div class="wprm-recipe-instruction-text" style="margin-bottom: 5px;">Continue layering the green and purple bath bomb mixtures into the other half of the mold. Remove from the mold once you’re ready to use, place in the tub and enjoy!</div></li></ul></div></div>

Winter weather can take a toll on the skin. Cold temperatures often mean less humidity, which can leave skin feeling dry, itchy and irritated. This easy-to-make Cucumber Lotion contains <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Cucumber-Extract-P6362.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cucumber extract</a> for its soothing and skin loving properties. It&#8217;s made with the <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Basic-Lotion-Base-P6243.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Basic Lotion Base</a>, which is specially created to add up to 5% of additional additives (oils, extracts, etc). The base contains avocado oil, glycerin and coconut oil to create an effective, yet lightweight formula. If you prefer to make your own lotion from scratch, <a href="https://soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/lotion/how-to-create-homemade-lotion-recipes/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">check out this blog post</a> to learn how.</p>
<p><a href="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/CreamyCucumberTutorial.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-55094 size-full" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/CreamyCucumberTutorial.jpg" alt="This easy to make Cucumber Lotion contains cucumber extract to soothe and hydrate the skin." width="700" height="500" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/CreamyCucumberTutorial.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/CreamyCucumberTutorial-300x214.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/CreamyCucumberTutorial-160x115.jpg 160w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></a><br />
I scented this lotion with the refreshing <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Cucumber-Oak-Fragrance-Oil-P5613.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cucumber Oak Fragrance Oil</a>. It&#8217;s a great scent that&#8217;s suitable for both men and women. This lotion does have a soft green color, but don&#8217;t worry; none of that green actually shows up on your skin. =) The combination of <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Emerald-LabColor-P3021.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Emerald LabColor</a> and <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Kermit-Green-Mica-P6352.aspx?" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kermit Green Mica</a> leaves a very subtle shimmer that has no lasting green hue.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span id="more-55015"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>What You&#8217;ll Need:</strong><br />
Four <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/4-oz-Jars-White-Twist-Cap-P4677.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">4 oz. Jars with White Twist Cap</a><strong><br />
</strong>16 fl. oz. <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Basic-Lotion-Base-P6243.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Basic Lotion Base<br />
</a>.2 oz. <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Cucumber-Oak-Fragrance-Oil-P5613.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cucumber Oak Fragrance Oil<br />
</a>.6 oz. <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Cucumber-Extract-P6362.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cucumber Extract</a><br />
1 mL <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Emerald-LabColor-P3021.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Emerald LabColor</a><br />
1/2 tsp. <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Kermit-Green-Mica-P6352.aspx?" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kermit Green Mica</a></p>

<p><strong>DILUTING LABCOLOR: </strong>You’ll need to premix your LabColors in order to use them in this project. We like diluting the small bottle of LabColor in 4 oz. of distilled water. For more on diluting LabColors, <a href="https://soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/tips-and-tricks/diluting-bramble-berry-labcolors/">check out this blog post</a>.</p>
<p><strong>ONE:</strong> Disinfect a clean spoon and heat safe container by spritzing <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/99-Isopropyl-Alcohol-16-oz-P5682.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">99% rubbing alcohol</a> on the surface and allowing it to air dry. Wear gloves throughout the whole process to avoid contaminating the lotion.</p>
<p><strong>TWO: </strong>Scoop the Basic Lotion Base into the disinfected container, and heat in the microwave in 10 second bursts, stirring between each heating burst. Be very careful to not heat the lotion above 130 °F, or the preservative can become ineffective. The lotion should become slightly more liquid and pourable at around 115-120 °F.<br />

Stick blend for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.<br />
