It’s the beginning of the week (Happy Monday!) and that means it’s time for a recap of the most awesome week ever! (Psst: Earlier this week, we wrapped up the Fair Ivy contest by getting the rest of our entries and posting a mashup. Stay tuned next week when the finalists will be announced. We also had a fun and engaging guest post from Jean at SoapArtOnline on how to cut one of those 25 lb. monster soap blocks and posted a much anticipated Soap Queen TV episode that has been a year in the making. Are you ready for the winner of last weeks Facebook Photo of the Week? Check it out below.
Facebook Photo of the Week (March 29 ~ April 5)
What a fun week it has been! We’ve been keeping super busy with all sorts of fun activities and promotions that are going on for both Bramble Berry and Soap Queen. The members of our Spring Spring S.O.A.P. team (you can see the list here) were picked, we started getting entries for our Spring Soap Swap, received a bunch of cute bath and body products for the Fair Ivy contest (the deadline to receive entries is this Monday!) and have a super fun April Showers Scavenger Hunt going on. I also made the second soap in the Great Cakes SoapWorks Soap Challenge – the Elemental Swirl (read all about it here). This is how my version of the Elemental Swirl turned out – very teardroppy and artistic.

Facebook Photo of the Week (March 22 ~ March 29)
Happy Easter Weekend! We have had so much fun spending so some quality time in the sunshine and blue skies (spring has arrived here in the Pacific Northwest!) and we can’t wait for the summer. This morning, we had a wonderful Easter brunch with Uncle Erik and Aunt Cheriss where we made delicious Easter Pancakes. We also introduced Jamisen to a new book – Peepsqueak by Leslie Ann Clark. He loves it!
Facebook Photo of the Week (March 15 ~ March 22)
It’s finally spring and we are seeing a teensy bit of sunshine here in the Pacific Northwest. We spent the day outside in sunny but chilly 45 degree weather, throwing rocks and visiting koi ponds (Jamisen totally tried to ruin a fish’s life by throwing a rock in the pond; we were horrified). In honor of the spring, I created a fun and bright lip balm tutorial that will definitely give your lips a tropical punch with Pineapple and Papaya Flavor Oils. Craving more tutorials for your kisser? Check this link out. I’m working on a new body butter whip next week and perfecting deodorant recipes this weekend (sooooo close!). Read on to find out this week’s Facebook Photo of the Week…
P.S. We got a genius tip from one of our Facebook fans this week. She used our silicone liner and found a great way to keep them steady and open before you pour. Use paperclips to hold the liner against the mold and they won’t leave any marks or lines on your soap. Thanks, for the tip Margo!
Facebook Photo of the Week (March 1 ~ March 8)
Last week was super busy on the SoapQueen blog. Two new contests were introduced: a new Make It Month (all about the sample of the month, Oatmeal Milk and Honey Cybilla) and a call to arms by subscription service Fair Ivy. We also blogged three new tutorials: a super cute Red Apple Cold Process Soap Recipe, an anti-pinch nail polish tutorial for St. Patrick’s Day, a DIY tutorial on how to make a traveler bag for toddlers and my favorite, the shortbread recipe that I used to announce the gender of Bramble Girl to my family. Miss out on any of the daily happenings? Join us on Bramble Berry’s Facebook page to keep up-to-date and learn about the newest products, tutorials and deals. Best of all the sun is finally shining in the Pacific Northwest (well, intermittently) and all of Team Bramble Berry is soaking up as much of it as they can. Facebook Photo of the Week (Feb 22nd ~ March 1)
Let’s start out our week with some inspirational soap….Facebook Photo of the Week time. As always, there have been some incredible bath and body product photos that each and every one of you are creating (and posting to our Facebook page). We have such an active soapmaking community and I’m grateful for all of you that continue to participate and make it a better place for all soapers. Are you ready for the winner? Let’s go!
This week’s photo comes to us from Andrea of Soaps4Squares. Andrea told us that she used our soap boxes to create these adorable bridal shower gifts and that she really used loved how the Tropical Vacation Fragrance Oil stuck in her ITP (In-the-Pot) Swirl Soap. I totally agree with her, these little soap favors turned out so cute and show that you can do so much with just a little soap box. You might actually recognize Andrea from when she was on our BBAC Team from last year, and you can check out her super inspirational interview here. Thank you so much for being part of our amazing soapmaking community on Bramble Berry’s Facebook page, Andrea. Keep your eyes open for a special little package being sent your direction.

Facebook Photo of the Week (Feb 15th ~ 22nd)
What a busy and exciting week it has been. Though I was down for the count one day with a lovely stomach bug, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching all the great interaction on our Facebook page. Big thanks to our customers who helped us reach our goal of 500 new likes within a week. I was overwhelmed by the incredible enthusiasm and appreciate all the help to reach our goal. We also had a couple of super fun tutorials, our Sunset Ombre Soap and our absolutely decadently-scented Whipped Coffee Butter (that I’m using every day). This week’s photo comes to us from Becky Sheffler. This is her Faux Funnel Soap using Bramble Berry’s Neon Colorants. 2013 is here and is it just me, but does 2012 seem very long ago now? I had fun looking back on some of Bramble Berry’s achievements of 2012 in this post. Onward and upwards in 2013; we’ve already posted a few tutorials (click here and here), a brand new Soap Queen TV episode, and we’ve already seen some incredible bath and body products shared with us on our Facebook page. Speaking of Facebook, our Facebook Photo of the Week! Drum roll please…
This week’s photo comes to us from Jasmine Hales. We first met Jasmine when she posted a comment on the Hot Process Series: Crock Pot Camo tutorial. She told us that she had just started soaping with goat’s milk (her family raises goats) and that she is 15 years old. I was totally stunned, and knew I wanted to know more about her. Since then, Jasmine has become part of Bramble Berry’s Facebook community and I’ve really enjoyed seeing her interact with other soapers and post her gorgeous soapy pictures. Jasmine told us that this soap is a Cucumber Puree Soap made with coconut milk and scented with Bramble Berry’s Sleigh Ride Fragrance Oil. Thanks for being part of our Facebook page and keep your eyes on the lookout for a fun little package being sent your way!
