Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. It’s a great time to express your love for the people in your life, be sappy and say the things that we don’t always say in everyday life. I like to spoil my friends and family with small handmade gifts on Valentine’s Day. Who doesn’t enjoy receiving a gift covered in hearts? In addition, who doesn’t love making gifts covered in hearts? It’s a win win!

With Valentine’s Day just a few weeks away, now is the time to get crafting. Melt and pour is an awesome crafting option when you’re in a time crunch, because the soap does not require any cure time. These cute Sparkling Strawberry Melt and Pour Bars feature pink and red hearts, scented with a combination of Strawberry and Champagne Fragrance Oil.

Rose gold has become super trendy in the past few years. It translates beautifully in melt and pour soap with the use of Rose Gold Mica. In both the Romantic Rose Gold Melt and Pour Bars and the Rose Gold & Charcoal Heart Melt and Pour Bars, Rose Gold Mica creates a warm pink hue. The Romantic Rose Gold Melt and Pour Bars are scented with Baby Rose Fragrance Oil for a traditional Valentine’s scent. In contrast, the Rose Gold & Charcoal Heart Melt and Pour Bars use White Magnolia Fragrance Oil which has a soft and feminine scent.

Rainbow Heart Swirl Cold Process Tutorial

This Rainbow Heart Swirl Cold Process Soap features lots of color, glitter and smells like a tropical vacation!
Hearts, rainbow and glitter, oh my! If you’re a long time reader of this blog, you know I’m a fan of color, sparkle and hearts. For example, last year I created this Rainbow Hearts Melt and Pour project. I loved it so much that I started dreaming of a cold process version.

The brainstorm led to this cute and fun Rainbow Heart Swirl Cold Process Soap. It’s created by swirling tiny dots of multi-colored soap with a chopstick or dowel. Then, it’s covered in fine iridescent glitter. I colored the base a creamy white color using titanium dioxide to let the hearts really pop. This Rainbow Heart Swirl Cold Process Soap features lots of color, glitter and smells like a tropical vacation!

The key to this design is a slow-moving recipe and thin trace. If the soap is too thick, the dots won’t swirl properly and won’t become hearts. To give you plenty of swirling time, this recipe contains a large amount of slow moving oils such as canola oil, rice bran oil, and apricot kernel oil. I did not use olive oil in this recipe because I wanted the base to be as white as possible. This project is scented with Beach Breezes Fragrance Oil. It behaves great in cold process with no acceleration, but does discolor to a light tan. The added titanium dioxide combats this. =)

Rainbow Hearts Melt & Pour on Soap Queen TV

This Rainbow Heart Melt and Pour soap will make you smile with plenty of sparkle, color and hearts. Inspired by a previous Soap Queen tutorial of the same name, the design has been updated to include more hearts and color in each bar. Pink Grapefruit Fragrance Oil gives the project a bright and happy scent.

This melt and pour soap includes six vibrantly colored heart embeds created with the Mini Heart Silicone Column Mold. Color blocks are used to give each heart a different rainbow hue. To help the layers and embeds adhere, having a bottle of 99% isopropyl alcohol nearby is crucial. Spraying rubbing alcohol in between and after pouring layers helps the soap stick together, and disperses any bubbles on top.

Created with melt and pour embeds, a cold process base and soap frosting, this sophisticated soap will make a fantastic Valentine’s gift (it will be here sooner than you think!).
