I am a smoothie fanatic. I love them and have one nearly everyday! And I love when I find a new combination that just hits the spot. This one was suggested to me by a dear friend and I just had to try it. Conveniently, I had some homemade almond milk on hand (Learn to make your own here). Please keep in mind I don’t measure anything when I make these – so the amounts are approximate.
Ingredients:
1 cup Almond Milk
1 cup Frozen Blueberries
2 Tablespoons Almond Butter
Tools:
Blender
Spatula
1. Place blueberries, almond butter, and almond milk in blender. (My blender has single serving cups, so I can make one smoothie and toss a lid on and I’m ready to go). I like my smoothies thick like a milk shake you have to use a spoon to eat. If you’d like a thinner more drinkable smoothie, add more milk.
2. Blend
3. Enjoy!
Now what else can I make with my beloved Almond Milk? Suggestions?

This looks divine and I enjoy smoothies too. I actually have all this on hand so think I’ll make one today even though it’s raining out. Thanks.

I wonder if you can use fresh almond milk to make a yummy Chinese Jello-like dessert called “almond dofu”? I’ve only had the packaged stuff that has almond flavoring. I think one could possibly use agar-agar and fresh almond milk and make an excellent one.

I think that would work. I found some recipes that just use water and almond extract. The almond milk really doesn’t taste like anything – so you would probably want to add a little flavoring and sweetener.

almond milk is great in rice or bread pudding

Right, that’s a great suggestion. I bet you can sub it for regular milk in alot of recipes.

This sound deeee-lish! Have you had a banana/yogurt smoothie with almond milk? I have one every day! 🙂 Here’s an approximate recipe:
1 banana
1/2 to 1 cup plain yogurt (regular, non-fat, whatever)
1 cup almond milk
1/2 to 1 tsp vanilla
1 to 2 tsp honey
dash cinnamon
SMOOTHIES ARE THE BEST!

That sounds great! I love the cinnamon and Vanilla addition. That ‘s something I never think about. Thanks!
