I have the privilege of speaking at the Crave Show in Seattle today. I’ll be going back tomorrow and speaking at 12 and 4:30 so if you’re in Seattle, check out http://www.craveshow.com/and get last minute tickets to attend the party.

Here’s a video of one of the vendor rooms. It looks mostly empty because I was there early. There were fun beauty vendors, actual medi-spa treatments, clothing, jewelry, handmade purses and indie chocolate producers in the vendor room. I am lucky to have only spent $21 on handmade chocolate. There was a lot of cute stuff at the show!

One of Bramble Berry’s customers was there with their super cool indie beauty products. I have used Knelow’s lotions for years and highly vouch for their customized lotion blends and am continually excited by their innovative blending and unique scent combinations. You can find their e-commerce site and story here.

Nars Make Up sponsored the entire beauty section and they had make up artists on hand to give make overs. The gal that did my make up had bright blue eyeshadow and a matching outgoing personality. She had her own line of knitted clothing wear that she sold in addition to selling leather straps for shows, guitar cases and purses. She was a true indie business girl with many things going on. She did my make over much more subtle than her own blue eyeshadow and invited me back tomorrow.

Here is the panel discussion on finding your bliss. (that’s me, on the left). The co-hosts of the panel were Wyatt and Whitney from the show “WhitneyandWyatt.” Click here to see their latest show or learn more about their “bite-sized girly fluff and serious stuff” t.v. show.

We spoke about doing what you love and some of the struggles involved with being self-employed.

Other topics that the audience asked to hear about were mentors, best advice for starting a business and information about support networks. I’m hoping to do a show with Whitney & Wyatt about making soap or lip balm in the future.
