I just put the contest goodies together for the week. The box is brimming with handcrafted goodness. My favorite thing in the box for today is the Maple Custard Lip balm from Squeaky Queen.

I’m currently using Squeaky Queen’s Carmel Latte Lip Balm (yum!) on an obsessive basis. You’ll be an addict after you try her lip balm.

Also pictured is one of the more successful cream soap recipes – using 25% sweet almond oil. It’s the pink bar on the right made with the Japanese Crest mold. You’ll get a chance to try out a very luxurious bar of soap. I’ve been using mine for shaving. It works great!

The Palm Oil Candles come with their own personalized matches to match the label design. They are Carrot Cake and Country Linenfragranced.

  1. Hi Carrie Gigi –

I’m so glad that you’re liking the OMH. It’s been our best selling fragrance for three years running now (closely followed by Energy). I just love it in Lotions!

  2. Anne-Marie~ I never thought to use/or try economical saran wrap with a heat gun before. It’s been just a dilemma for me, because if MP is sealed (with packaging) the fragrance is missed…So, I have a little experiment going myself~ a shelf of wrapped/unwrapped bars of just about every type (both MP & CP)…I must say the OMH fragrance from Bramble Berry is still going strong after months(unwrapped)! Gosh that stuff is divine! It’s my mom’s fav. Simply the best on the market~ and I have tried many over the years, but always came back to Bramble Berry’s. If you ever decide to stop selling it~ please give me a year’s notice, to stock up!

  3. Hi Jeannie –

Yes, wrapping MP can be difficult! I like to use plain old, economical saran wrap with a heat gun/paint stripper. The wrapping is not as durable as shrink wrap *but* you can smell through it.

That, plus a nice label on the back makes a professional looking bar of soap in my opinion.

  4. That looks so fun!!!! And I like looking at other folk’s packaging, too…since I’m still trying to figure out the best packaging for our mp creations.

  5. Packaging is a huge thing when trying to make your soap stand out from other people’s on the shelves. =)

  6. I love how creative people can be in their packaging. Thats the #2 great thing about purchasing handmade products. #1 the product itself, #2 the creativity that went into the entire thing.
