ONE: Melt 0.7 ounces of EcoSoya Advanced Wax on 30 second bursts in the microwave. Color the wax with about 1/8 teaspoon of shavings from the Red Wax Dye Block (a clean up tool works excellently for shaving bits off of the block!) and stir until the wax dye block is completely melted. Pour the wax into the Tiny Hearts and Birds and set aside to harden.

TWO: Melt 25 ounces of EcoSoya Advanced Wax on 30 second bursts in the microwave. Color the wax with about 1/2 teaspoon of shavings from the Lavender Wax Dye Block and stir until the dye block has completely melted.

THREE: Add the Red Wine Candle and Soap Fragrance Oil and mix well.

FOUR: Dribble a little bit of the wax into the bottom of each of the candle jars. Stick the metal disk of the wick into the wax and allow the wax to cool enough to hold the wick in place.

FIVE: Once the lavender colored wax has cooled to 120-130 degrees, pour the wax into the jars. Use pencils or chopsticks on the top of the candle jars to hold the wicks in place. Allow the wax to fully cool and harden overnight.

SIX: Melt the rest of the EcoSoya Advanced Wax on 30 second bursts in the microwave. While you’re waiting for the wax to melt, unmold the Tiny Hearts and Birds molds and use a clean-up tool to spruce them up if needed.
SEVEN: Using a hand-held or stand mixer, whip the wax until it is thick enough to form slight peaks when manipulated with a spoon.

EIGHT: Moving quickly, spoon the whipped wax on top of the cooled lavender candles. Place the tiny hearts and birds in the whipped wax and press gently. If the whipped wax gets too stiff to spoon, reheat the wax on 30 second bursts and whip again. Allow the whipped wax to fully harden.

PS – My tip for cleaning wax off any kitchen utensil or container? Melt and pour! I just heat up some melt and pour in the microwave and use that to easily clean up the wax. The wax in the container will mix nicely with the soap and come out well. If it’s spoons or blenders, just use the hot melt and pour to melt off the wax (I stir the spoons and any utensils in a container of hot melt and pour). Pour the wax and melt and pour mixture into an extra mold to harden, then toss the melt and pour (it’s probably going to have a weird texture after being mixed with wax).
