Biggs and Featherbelle has a delightful gift set for Christmas. It’s comprised of 8 perfect little bars of soap, all with their handstamped wrappers for $21.99. Click here to see a list of their stores or go buy this adorable sampler for yourself at their site.

Kelly and Kasey Evick also sell their artwork on t-shirts using CafePress. It’s a great example of brand extensions and marketing. After all, they have the artwork done. It doesn’t take much more to upload the artwork to CafePress and make t-shirts.

  3. Hi Mary –

Yes, any dyes that are FD&C based can stain the skin. However, with regards to dyed wool, I’ve been felting soap for years though and have never had a soap stain my skin.

We dye wool with Labcolors on a pretty consistent basis and I’ve never seen that wool bleed either so I wonder if the wool that you’ve heard of staining was just really oversaturated with dye?

  4. Hi. I am hoping you can give me some advice. I am very new at soap making and I have been doing some research on line for project ideas. I have come across soap felting, however, I have read some articles where the dye from the felt caused staining on the skin. Have you ever experienced soap felting? How do you feel about it? I would really appreciate any advice you could give. Thank you for your time. Please mail me at [email protected]. Mary

  5. I actually met the cool sisters at the Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn this past summer. The products are great and they have one of the cutest soap packaging I have ever seen.
