  1. Did you use isopropyl alcohol because the chrome oxide pigment wouldn’t mix without it or does it make the polish special in a different kind of way?

    1. Hi Victoria!

The reason we use isopropyl alcohol first, is to disperse the pigment, allowing it to then disperse easily in the nail polish base. If you don’t do this step first, the pigment could end up being slightly clumpy, or not fully incorporated in your final mixture. I hope this helps 🙂

  3. Cool…green! I won’t get pinched because my eyes are hazel 😉 Everybody says that’s cheating….but I don’t think so. lol I have the Irish look: red hair, hazel eyes, pastey-white skin, the irish cheeks,….yeah the irish in my genes really shows! Now to keep learning Irish dance haha

  4. I feel like there should be a dash of gold mica in there to add to the st-patricks day spirit. 🙂

    1. That would be such a cute idea! You could make a batch of nail polish base with either the Heavy Metal Gold Mica, Gold Light Mica, or Gold Sparkle Mica and use it as a top coat or a quick splash of colors on your nails. =)

  5. As for nail hardener, I haven’t actually tested this yet, but I have been pondering whether adding silk powder to nail polish base would accomplish something beneficial, or if it would just use up my silk powder and make a mess.

I’m probably going to try it soon and find out; after all, what’s the worst that could happen?

  6. These are Awesome! Here’s a suggestion how about making available those cute nail pen bottles with the long art brush attachment then you can make really cute nail art designs. 🙂

  7. That’s a great post Anne-Marie ! I love it ! I also would like to know if you know of a nail hardener recipe i could put in those cute bottles ‘ I have thin nails that tear off & turn up on the tips ? Thank you for all your great posts ! I love bramble berry.

    1. Hi Linda!
