– Portland Soaping Lunch –

Let’s get together and chat soap, laugh about our successes (and failures) and swap goodies!

On Saturday the 23rd at Besaw’s: http://www.besaws.com/
for lunch (noon).

I’ll be delivering orders (no shipping!) if anyone wants something delivered. I can’t fit too many in the car so you’ll want to get your orders in early. We’ll have schwag bags with the latest and greatest stuff from Bramble Berry AND prizes for the BEST soap and the WORST soap. So bring your checkbook for lunch, and your best soap and ugliest failure and there will be impressive prizes (hint: we’re thinking maybe a Sunnybrook mold for one of the prizes).

We’ve also inviting Catherine Failor from Milky Way and Rebecca Harder, the manufacturer of the Sunnybrook Soap Mold is confirmed to attend.

There are 15 confirmed ‘Dishers (thread is here). If you’d like to come and chat soap for a few hours, we’d love to meet you.

RSVP on this thread and if you want an order delivered, email your orders directly to me at brambleceo at qwest dot net by Tuesday the 19th.

  2. Yay!!! My plans were canceled! And I didn’t even do it. Lol. I will be able to make it! (If I can find it. Lol) I will have my 6mo old baby with me, hope that wont be a problem. 😀

  4. I would love to come. Please count me in. I have only done melt and pour (I know, I know, I’m cheating) but would REALLY like to learn about cold process. I planned to sign up for a class at Otion sometime soon, I just need a free weekend.

  6. Anne-Marie, If you hit Bloomington, IN, on your country-wide tour, I’ll be delighted to host! 🙂

I am going to be thinking of you guys on the 23rd with envy.

  7. Not meaning to hog comment area-but I forgot to mention something to twin birch— I am going to show Bella~Cinderella Max’s handsome picture :)~ after all Valentine’s Day is coming… :):)

He certainly sounds like a very “healthy” lab!

  8. Anne-Marie…What fun-a tour of soap making! Count me in to participate here on the East Coast. When you come to Maryland-you & the bus have a place to stay 🙂

    Hey-dreams come true 🙂

  9. Hey there! Yes, that is my yellow lab. His name is Max and he’s 2 1/2 and weighs 130 (he might be part donkey!) He adds just a little more energy to our house, which is full of four mini soapers ages 5-12. 🙂 Maybe he and Bella should have a date!

Hey Anne-Marie~count me IN on that dream. It could be “Bubblepalooza ’09” Or maybe “Bramblepalooza”!

    Heather

  10. I would love it if we could get all of you guys together.

You never know, I might just take a year off to tour the States in a BB decal-ed tour bus, making soap in every city, and having mini gatherings.

    Wouldn’t that be a blast?

    A girl can always dream…. =)

  11. East Coast Soaper here too…are we jealous or what??? On another note…Hey twin birch is that a yellow lab I see in your pic? We have a sweet yellow lab named “Bella~Cinderella”. Okay-back to the event coming up…sounds like LOTS of fun, & I can’t wait to see & hear ALL the details!

  12. Oh Anne-Marie! Don’t tempt me! I already have plans for that day 🙁 ….but they might be worth re-scheduling! Now if only I could find someone to watch the girls!

  13. I’d love to come and meet other soapers! I’ve just had my first successful batch. Maybe I’ll learn something informative that will help me in the soaping process continue to be successful.
