Thank you New York Times Bitten Blog for making my evening that much sweeter.

For their book, Hello Cupcake!, cake artists Karen & Alan made this amazing sheet of cupcakes and frosted it in an extraordinary way.

Though, as a cupcake connoisseur, I suspect some of that frosting is so darkly colored that it doesn’t taste great. But, whatever… I’ll suffer for art.

  2. That is absolutely amazing… I wouldn’t want to eat it, as it’s so pretty.

  3. I’m at a loss for words, this is so incredible! And I say that as both a fan of Van Gogh and a fan of sweets. 😉

  4. I actually make (real) cakes ‘on the side’ and you’d be surprised what there is now for colors that don’t effect flavor nearly as much. I tried posting the pictures of a recent wedding cake I did to my bath cake blogger account, but it didn’t like my pictures for some reason.
