I love (love, love, love, love, love, love) seeing SoapQueenTV and SoapQueen-inspired ideas out on the marketplace. It’s even better when the soaper flat out says that our soap’spiration inspired them to make cool works of soap art.
Here are a few that I came across this week. First up, from the TeachSoap Forum, Honey from Ireland tried the Rubber Stamp Technique from this post. The soap she came up with looks great! What an easy way to personalize a wedding, a birthday or a retirement gift.
Then ‘SingingWolf‘ from the forum (and frequent commenter at SoapQueen.com) tried the Fortune Cookie Soaps from SoapQueen.TV Independence Day Episode and did a great job. They were for a present for her boss and she says, ‘Folks were crowding around my boss’s desk, sniffing at the birthday presents that were stacked up’. Sweet! That’s just what we like to read.
Hallie made these Geometric Soaps below and they look great! She says ‘I think I’ve learned my lesson about dry pigments instead of handy pre-mixed and non-bleeding options. But otherwise, this came out just about as I hoped it would. (I was aiming for off-kilter.)’ I’d say she got off-kilter and absolutely stunning. The color choices are great. Also with the Geometric Inspiration, Kayla sent us this photo of her rainbow soap. The yellow is a great touch. She said, ‘This was so fun. I loved making it.’

Are you adding the liquid glycerin? If the soap is cracking, it's because it's not fresh enough. If you make the soap, the second it gets hard, that's when you need to do the forming. If you wait too long, the soap gets older and cracks. =)

I've made LOTS of soaps using the rubber stamp technique. You should see me sitting on the floor in Michael's, picking through the dollar bins for the "best" stamps! ^_^
I get my rubber stamps at michaels in the dollar bin. the choices are sometimes limited, but i usually like their lines. here are 2 posts of soaps that i made using your techniques, anne marie. Thanks!

what a perfect time for me to confess to you: i have learned almost all i know about soaping from you, Anne-Marie, and i am so thank~full that i have found your company and products, your blog, and now, your video tutorials! i am still in the waiting to re-open my etsy shop, but you can bet that i have many, many soaps that have been directly inspired by your tutorials. i also love your business advice and the other inspiring things you post on your blog. kudos to you, Anne-Marie, for being such a great teacher! 😀
I also found an ebay vendor selling surprise packs of the clear stamps for cheap. You don't get to pick what you get but its a quick way to start with some variety!
Look for the good deals on the rubber unmounted stamps at the Dollar Store; we just found Christmas ones (score!) and can't wait to do a SoapQueenTV episode with Christmas ones.
I so love the rubber stamp technique. I wish I had unlimited time and funds to do it all. The geometric I am deffinatly trying and I an going to have to try the rubbber stamp one also.
