They look like cupcakes, they smell like cupcakes, but don’t be fooled, they’re soaps! Learn how to make soap cupcakes with whipped frosting in this episode of Soap Queen TV. Using the same technique Debbie shared on the Soap Queen blog (in this tutorial), I make a soapy replica of the Lavender Vanilla Cupcake from Cupcake Royale.

Here’s what you’ll need for the cupcake base:
40 oz. White Melt & Pour Soap
1 1/2 oz. Vanilla Select Fragrance Oil
1 1/2 oz. Vanilla Color Stabilizer
6 ml Canary LabColor (diluted)
SoapyLove Scalloped Round Mold
Here’s what you’ll need for the soap frosting:
16 oz White Melt & Pour Soap
8 Tbsp Natural Castile Liquid Soap
9 ml Royal Purple LabColor (diluted)
1 oz Lavender Fragrance Oil
SoapyLove Jojoba Bead Mix

what is the Natural Castile Liquid Soap for? iff you dont use it, is it going to be alright?? x
The liquid soap is what makes the top soft and frosting-like. If you don’t use it, you may not be able to work with the recipe or frost the cupcakes. Maybe try using a little dish soap in place of the liquid soap, we haven’t tried it with this recipe but you could give it a shot with a small test batch. Keep us posted.

You could do a baggie with ribbon around it or you could do a plastic wrap like other MP soaps – whipped soap can be squished if it gets pressed too hard – but plastic wrap works great!
what is the best way to package these? trying not to mess up the tops so I was wondering

Thank you for this video! I had been interested in whipped CP soap, but using M&P instead looks easier to make, easier to fix mistakes, and safer to boot – no chance of lye splattering everywhere!

Yes, you can definitely use the bubble bath base (I even confirmed that with Debbie). I don’t think you’ll need to thicken it up with salt. =)
I just picked up these moulds at AussieSoapSupplies(OZ) this afternoon!! I don’t have Castile Liquid Soap, can I use bubble bath base? would I need to thicken it with salt water solution?

Yes, dilute in warm distilled water (or boiled for 5 minute tap water), cap it, shake well, use and keep uncapped until it cools off. Then, cap and you’re done. Use a clean container. Or just dilute 2-3 ml in 1 tsp and use that small amount – either works.
It was an inspired idea! We’re still trying to think of ways to use it in new and creative ways.
I have a question about the Labcolors. I normally use clear soap and micas, but I just bought the black cherry lab color from BB. I haven’t used it yet. Do I need to dilute it all at once, that (in the video) looks like much more than I need. If i do, is it ok to store it diluted?

I think you could but you’d need to work fast because the frosting hardens up fast’ish – like 1-2 minutes worth of pliability before it hardens up.
