It was a tasty week here on the blog with recipes like the Berry Rhubarb Crumble Soap. It’s scented with the new Red Berry Rhubarb Fragrance Oil, which is a perfect blend of sweet and tart. It complements the base, which is colored with Magenta Mica and Brick Red Oxide PigmentWalnut shells and rolled oats create a realistic crumble top. The soap is finished with a dollop of soapy whipped cream.

The Hanger Swirl Soap smells sweet as well. The Crisp Cotton Fragrance Oil in the recipe has notes of fresh blood orange, sea berry and violet leaf. The soap features bright blue and yellow layers, which go perfectly with the crisp scent. A Hanger Swirl Tool is used to create the interesting design. Watch the video tutorial here.

Mixing fragrances is a great way to create a custom blend. We include a free fragrance sample in every Bramble Berry order. For the Sample of the Month, we create scent blends and share our favorites. There is also an easy project each month! See those projects in the Winter and Spring 2016 Fragrance Oil Blends post.

The Bramble Berry App now includes the Fragrance Calculator. That means you can calculate light, medium and strong recommendations for all of our fragrance and essential oils right on your phone. You can also now use coupons on the app and pay for your orders with PayPal. Learn more in the Bramble Berry App Update post.

This week’s Facebook Photo of the Week by Jenna with Sense About Scents is a perfect fragrance and color pairing. Her gorgeous Butterfly Effect Soap is scented with Apple Sage Fragrance Oil.

The detail in Jenna’s bar really sets it apart. The beautiful swirl, frosting and stamp add interest to the soap. The shimmery butterfly on top is a perfect finishing touch.
