Lavender is a classic and relaxing scent that almost everyone loves. You can now try four new versions of the old favorite – Lavender Fine Essential Oil, Lavender Absolute 50%, Bulgarian Lavender Essential Oil, and Organic Bulgarian Lavender Essential Oil.
Lavender Fine Essential Oil: This has a bright, herbaceous scent with a touch of citrus. It performs beautifully and doesn’t discolor in cold process soap.
Lavender Absolute  50%: This oil has a sweet, honey-like scent. It’s diluted 50% by weight with fractionated coconut oil for ease of use. It performs beautifully in cold process soap and discolors green.
Bulgarian Lavender Essential Oil: This oil is a deeper floral that smells earthy and dark. It performs beautifully and doesn’t discolor in cold process soap.
Organic Bulgarian Lavender Essential Oil: Compared to Bulgarian Lavender Essential Oil, this one is lighter and has more camphorous minty notes. It performs beautifully and doesn’t discolor in cold process soap.

I have a question 🙂 I have been doing M&P for over 2 years now and am finally feeling ready to take the plunge into CP soap (and I’m so excited!!). I enjoy and feel perfectly comfortable using regular fragrance oils, but am also interested in the idea of EO and oil infusions. I was wondering if any of you have ever tried using a sage infusion in your CP soap? I have a sage plant and have infused some olive oil with it, and am wondering if I could use that in place of a FO or EO. I know sage EO can be irritating in large/concentrated amounts, but assume an infusion would be much gentler. I just love the smell and would love if I could incorporate sage from my garden into my soap, but can’t find much information online about if it is safe, if it discolors, etc. etc. Any info you have would be much appreciated! 🙂

I don’t believe sage causes irritation, but everyone’s skin is different. Some people may be allergic or sensitive to it. Before trying a bar on your whole body, try a small patch of skin. If you notice irritation, stop using it immediately and check with a doctor. You can also make a small test batch to see the final color, scent, etc.

what is lavender essential water? Is there a recipe for it?
Essential waters are purified water infused with essential oils like lavender. We get ours from a vendor, so I’m not entirely sure how they’re made. I would definitely recommend giving ours a try, they work really well in lotions, facial spritzes, etc.
