Massage oil is one of the easiest bath and body DIY projects. Simply mix skin-loving oils with fragrance and you have boutique-quality massage oil at home. The Massage Essential Oil Blend gives this oil a rich and spicy scent.
This massage oil is made with some of the most sought-after exotic oils: argan, jojoba, and moringa seed oil. Fractionated coconut oil is added to give the oil a lighter feel. If you don’t have one of these oils on hand, you can use a substitute. Just keep in mind that it will change the texture and moisturizing properties slightly.
The Massage Essential Oil Blend is a complex blend of pure essential oils. It was specifically formulated for massage and body oils. It contains more than 10 essential oils, including peppermint, rosemary, cinnamon, lavender, and elemi. Learn more about the blend here. This recipe contains enough essential oil for a light to medium scent. If you’d like a stronger scent, feel free to add more. Use the Bramble Berry Fragrance Calculator to help find the right amount.

Hi! How do I modify this to make a face oil?
Chloe with Bramble Berry says
I would use some lighter oils, maybe remove the jojoba and add something like the lightweight Oat Oil instead. https://www.brambleberry.com/Oat-Oil-P6947.aspx

hi,
can Rose Quartz Fragrance Oil use in this recipe
Terah with Bramble Berry says
You can use the Rose Quartz Fragrance Oil in this recipe. It just would not have the same benefits of the Massage Essential Oil Blend. Find out how much to safely use with our Fragrance Calculator on the ‘Lotion’ setting.

I love this little bottle you show? Can you share where you purchased it from (or if it’s available through BB?)? Thanks!
Kelsey with Bramble Berry says
We picked this up at a local craft store, so you should be able to find something similar at yours. You can also find them online.

if i don’t have Moringa Seed Oil can i replace it with another oil ?
Kelsey says
Jojoba oil has a similar consistency and would make a good substitute. You can also use avocado oil, although it is lighter than moringa and will feel slightly different in this recipe. You may want to make a small test batch to see what you think.

Hi Brambleberry,
Could this recipe using the “massage” EO blend or other EOs be used for a body oil? Or are there other more appropriate base oils to use specificity for a body oil vs a massage oil?
Also, could the same recipe be used for a bath oil?
Thanks a bunch!
Amber with Bramble Berry says
This recipe might feel a little greasy for a body oil. So you could make some adjustments to the blend and increase the fractionated coconut oil to give it a dryer feel.
I think it might also be a little heavy for the bath and it wouldn’t disperse very well without the addition of Polysorbate.
