This week I make these really cool retro soaps with an 80’s look. These are so fun and simple to make I keep thinking of different color combinations I want to try!

Episode 14: Geometric Soaps from Soap Queen on Vimeo. Here’s what you’ll need to make this soap:

Clear Melt & Pour base

Lemon cake fragrance (NEW!)

Vanilla color stabilizer

Liquid Green non-bleeding Colorant

Super Pearly White

Liquid Blue non-bleeding colorant

Apricot Blush mica

Aqua Pearl mica

Clear plastic loaf mold

molding clay

PS – Did you recognize the ‘totally rad’ for the ’80s throwback reference it was intended to be?

  1. FooFooBerry, Your soap turned out really nice. The colors you chose are lovely together.

And, The Skin You're In, I like how you chose the stain glass colors for your soap. They really look cheerful with the light shining through them.

  2. That was so awesome! Like, totally!

Thanks for the great tip about using the play-doh. I love how it holds the mold in place as well as on an angle. Very handy! And I certainly have a ton of that stuff around!

Great video, and my favorite out-take so far! 🙂

  3. Thank you so much, especially for this newest Soap Queen TV episode on layering with a geometric design. I wanted to show you the soap I made from one of your previous episodes about layering and that was where I saw a little preview clip about the geometric design. I enjoy all of your Soap Queen TV episodes…thank you for them!

Oh and I loved the little extra at the very end…nice voice!

  4. absolutely love the surprise and the end of the clip. Love the geometric. I think I may start incorporating more melt and pour into my soaping. so fun and quick

  5. Loved it. If I remember correctly RAD was short for radical. I made a geometric retro loaf in 70s colours orange brown and green but alternated which side of the loaf tin was raised. It came out a bit like herring bone. Missed the end of the video. Must have thought it finished before it had. I'm on my way back to watch again.

  6. Very cool! Can't wait – finally caved and ordered me a loaf mold today! BTW, my boys fast forward to see if there is a blooper THEN they let me watch the episode with them in my laps. Love it!

  7. Thanks for the moral support. The clip at the end makes me want to hide under my desk for weeks but on the other hand, filming Soap Queen TV is totally fun and does make me want to spontaneously want to break out into song and dance! =)

  8. The only complaint I have about SoapQueenTV is that it doesn't happen often enough! I loved the clip at the end also. 😀

  9. great episode, Anne-Marie! i always look forward to Thursdays. 🙂 and i have to say, the clip at the end was my fav!
