Every month, our team comes up with more thanĀ 15 scent blends for each fragrance of the month sample (did you know you get a free .5 oz. fragrance oil sample with each Bramble Berry order?) The team and I choose 4-5 of our favorite blends each month to spotlight. Below are our favorite scent blends for the last six months of 2015. You can always find these blends, along with a tutorial, on the ā€œSample of the Monthā€ page, which is located on the right hand side of the Bramble Berry homepage.Ā Click here to see the winter and spring 2015 fragrance blends.

If you created something with your past samples, I would love to see your projects. Use the hashtag #SoapShare on Instagram, or upload the photo to the Bramble Berry Facebook page. If you blended your sample, share your blend in the comments below!

Do you usually blend your fragrance oils to create your own scent, or use them as is? I tend to use fragrance oils on their own for the first few batches, then try blending them. If you’re looking for tips on how to blend your fragrance oils,Ā check out this blog post.Ā

  1. I typically use fragrance oils right out of the bottle but that’s because I haven’t taken the time to learn how to blend oils.

And I second the comment above: LOVE the new labels!

  2. I received a sample of Pumpkin Souffle with an order and wasn’t sure what to do with it. It smells amazing – my first thought upon sniffing it was “oh, I could drink this!” I ended up adding it to a chocolate CP in the 10″ silicone mould. The PS sample was 8 grams, so I also used 16 grams each of Rich Dark Chocolate FO and Cinnamon Sugar FO. It has been curing for a week and smells absolutely delicious – the PS sample has added a sweet caramelly note and the bars have discoloured to an amazing dark chocolately brown! šŸ™‚ YUM.

  3. I will definitely have to try some of these. I don’t make my own blends very often but I have a few that I like and that work. If I want more than one scent I will just split my soap batch and then use a different fragrance in each batch. That way you can smell both fragrances without really altering either of them. BTW – I just got some fragrances in the mail today, I really like the new labels!

    1. Scent blending is a lot of fun! It can really transform a certain fragrance oil. Also, so glad you like the new labels! We were really excited to get that new system up and running. šŸ™‚
