I’ve been obsessed with the new Swirl Tools since we introduced them earlier this year. I love the precision I can get in a design across the entire surface of the soap. A few of the projects I’ve used them in so far have been the Peacock Swirl Challenge, Butterfly Swirl, and the Fall Sherbet Soap.

But we’ve been getting questions about how they can be used in different sizes of molds. So I created this video to show how easy it is re-size them for practically any mold.

Get the Comb Swirl Tool here, the Easy Swirl Tool here, or save and get the set!

  1. I have made some soap from melt and pour it has gone slimy to the touch and looks like it has a white sheen to it any ideas what i am doing wrong thanks

    1. Hi Daphne!

It sounds like your soap may be sweating. Our melt and pour bases have glycerin in them, which causes them to sweat in hot or humid climates.

To prevent sweating, you can leave your soap in front of a fan after it’s unmolded. Also, you can wrap it in plastic wrap and use a heat gun to create a tight seal from the air. I’ll include a link below that has more tips for preventing sweating. 🙂

This isn’t relevant, but I’m curious about what happened with the “Resolution Check In Giveaway”. I don’t recall seeing anything announced about it.

    1. Hi Michael!

Oh that sounds like it would work really well! Good thinking! The winners of the contest have been notified via email 🙂
