I hope everyone had a happy holiday filled with plenty of food, family and friends! Although Bramble Berry is still operating with a skeleton staff until January 2 (we took inventory today; fun times!), Bramble Berry will be back in full force in 2014 to get your goodies shipped out and answer all your crafty questions.

There were lots of behind the scenes sneak peeks on the blog this week. We spent Sunday filming three brand new episodes of Soap Queen TV, and on Monday we recapped our annual Salvation Army shopping trip. There was also an adorable last minute gift idea, some festive photos from Christmas and a beautiful Dream Catcher Swirl cold process recipe from our friends at Otion.

The Facebook Photo of this week takes a departure from the holiday theme. This brightly colored soap is too unique to miss.

This photo comes to us from Soap Grove, a brand new soapy company out of Beech Grove, Indiana. They’ve only had a Facebook page since December 6th, but judging by the expertly made soaps, whoever is behind Soap Grove has been crafting for much longer. The soap from the photo features Activated Charcoal and Ultramarine Blue colorants, and it’s scented with Bergamot Essential Oil. According to their Facebook page, Soap Grove is committed making palm-free soaps and using as few ingredients as possible. Better yet, a portion of their proceeds are donated to the ALS Foundation. Check out more of Soap Grove’s handcrafted cold process beauties below!

These are just a few of Soap Grove’s creations, including a lavender essential oil soap with real lavender buds (right), a yummy peppermint mocha soap (center) and a sweet orange soap (left). Thanks to Soap Grove for being a part of our wonderful soapmaking community, and thanks to everyone else who shows off their creations each week on our Facebook page. Here’s to a crafty and creative 2014!

  1. I first encountered Soap Queen on your crowdfunding campaign, and while I am not in a position to invest, I did share the information a couple of times. I was thoroughly impressed with your business ethic. And now that I see you sharing information from other soapmakers, I’m even more impressed! Have a Happy and Prosperous New Year!

    1. Oops…blame it on sleep deprivation? I ‘met’ you following links from another soaper’s campaign, I think. In any case … good on you for sharing the crafts of another. :O)
