We noticed that a full 11% of our beloved Bramble Berry customers are using Internet Explorer 6.0. This pains me because the Bramble Berry site is designed to work best with other, more modern, browsers (like Internet Explorer 7.0 and 8.0 – you can upgrade for free! It’s easy! Take the plunge here). Internet Explorer 6.0 is officially dead. There’s even a funeral scheduled for it on March 4 (want to attend? Click here to attend the funeral for Internet Explorer 6.0).

Our new Bramble Berry website (as of Summer ’09) was designed for the newest web browsers available at the time. To enhance your shopping experience (pictures, alignment and speed), make sure you have the latest available upgrade possible. It’s easy. And, psst, all the cool kids are doin’ it.

  1. I'm a developer so I cannot WAIT until I don't have to support IE6 anymore!!! Unfortunately, the funeral isn't going to do much… if our clients say to support it, we have to.

  2. Oh that funeral link is hilarious. I signed up and even read some of the comments. What a hoot!

  3. Internet explorer is so 2004 :p I quit using it once Mozilla came out. Its hilarious that their will be a funeral, lol!

  4. very interesting post! on my public health website (www.heartwomenandgirls.com), the stats are astounding! IE 6 is the most used @31%, with Mozilla a close second.

  5. Some of us are still waiting. I have a trusty PDA, a Samsung Epix (Blackberry type), which works well with many touchscreen applications. I am also carefully watching for an upgrade beyond 6.0 (a few weeks ago it was "in the works"). Thank you, good information for all, Anne-Marie.
