I have been meaning to msg you about the ready-made CP soaps. I won 5 a few months back and I just started using the sandalwood one. I have to tell you, it was funny b/c my husband hunted me down at home and was like, ok we have to talk about the soap in the shower! it’s awesome and where did you get it from? and he went on about the hardness and lather (both terms he learned from yours truly 😉 ). So there you have, soap so good it makes a man stop dead in his tracks!!

I start at .7 ounces of fragrance per pound and work up or down from there. Vanilla fragrances, I tend to use more but with really strong Roses or florals, I can easily go with less. .7 ounces per pound is a good starting point.
when you use the recipes you have listed for CP soap, how much fragrance do you add?

Awww, how fun! Glad everyone enjoyed that comment/post. It's just so hilarious that he has become an authority on cold process soaps, and I haven't even ventured into making them yet!

My mom does the same thing, and so now when I give her a good smelling gift…I always preface it with…"I better not find this in your underware drawer or in the closet when you die mom! Ayesha-That is cute! My hubby does the same thing, when he finds one in the shower he loves! When we married he used…cough cough Irish Spring!!!!! He did not think, that he could ever find anything better than that….well he has long been over the Irish Spring and loves hand made soaps! I love a man who can show their softer side! That is a true man! And great job on the beautiful soaps AM…I am going to go order some right now!
LOL! I don't know that my dh will ever be that enthused about a soap (all he ever asks for are bars with very little scent, which pains me because I'm all about fragrance). 😉
I can't bear to use the ones I got from you because they are so pretty, and make a room smell so nice!
