Earlier this month, Anne-Marie was the keynote speaker at the Handmade Soap and Cosmetic Guild conference in Las Vegas. Her talk focused on concepts in her upcoming book, Live Your Best Day EverĀ (currently available for pre-order on Amazon). Themes included the power of positive thinking, creating goals and how to tackle them.

Conference attendeesĀ had the opportunity to sign up for weekly emails to help apply these concepts to their lives. So far, they have practiced positive thinking, and evaluated different areas of their lives in order to set goals and discover their “why.”

Your ā€œwhyā€ is a guide – your personal North Star. When achieving goals becomes difficult, you can look to your ā€œwhyā€ for inspiration and guidance. It’s your purpose, you need to pinpoint before you create goals. This ā€œwhyā€ is your Personal Mission Statement.

Are youĀ participating in the Live Your Best Day Ever email series? If so, leave a comment with your personal mission statement and any other information you’d like to share about this journey so far. It’s okay to share a mission statement that’s not 100% done. It’s also okay to leave a comment requesting help from others who are on this journey too!

  1. Hi Anne Maire! This is my draft of my mission statement. Now to go out for a walk, because it is in my mission!
My Mission is to have my own profitable soap business so that I will have my own career that I have control over. I want to be more self-sufficient financially. I want the personal sense of accomplishment that growing my business brings. I will do this by spending time each day working on my business.
I value taking care of myself and the environment because I need a healthy body and a healthy planet in order to thrive. Accordingly, I will get plenty of sleep, daily exercise, and eat nutritious food. I will make choices that are better for the environment. I will continue to support organizations that support environmental causes and human rights.
…To develop and cultivate the qualities of resiliency, fortitude, and stick-to-it-ness that I admire in Anne Marie Faiola so that I can have my ā€œbest day ever, every dayā€.
…To live each day with joy, openness, and curiosity so that I can continue to learn and grow. I will do this by keeping my sense of humor, allowing myself to make mistakes and to experiment with new and better ways of living.
…To appreciate and enjoy friends and family by scheduling activities with them on a regular basis. By continuing to participate in Community Theater where I have many friends.
…To treasure above all else the present moment by taking time for mindfulness.
…To be known by my friends, family as someone who is kind, brave and fun, and by my customers as someone who has brought moments of happiness to their lives in the form of soap.

    1. This is such a great mission statement because you have the *why* behind the actions. You want to thrive, and that’s why you’re going to work out and eat nutritious food. You want to be curious and experience joy daily and that’s why you’re taking the actions with your friend and your community theater participation.

I listened to a great interview with Daymond John where he said that he read his six month goals every night before bed. Yours read so beautifully and lyrically that they would be a lovely evening dreammaker =)

Thank you for posting your inspiring mission statement. It’s a lovely sounding future based on passion, insight and hard-earned experience.
