  1. Way cool, Anne-Marie!! I’m so glad to see good things happen to you!

  2. What great press! It really shows how sincerely you care about the human side of business, which is so refreshing. Congrats to PJ for her soap they included in the article!

  3. You’re a ROCK/SOAP STAR!!! Congrats!
Do say hi to Oprah for me! 🙂 (I think she’s on line 2!)

  4. Cindy – That’s an excellant question. And, it’s actually one that I had after reading the article as well! =)

I must not have explained things well enough to the very kind and smart reporter that called me. So, in a perfect world, the direct quote would have been:

“As Bramble Berry grew larger, the volume of phone calls and emails grew to a place where I could no longer personally handle them all myself. As I delegated more customer service to my staff, I found that I missed the interaction with my customers. I wanted to have that one-on-one conversation back. So, I started the blog as a better way to dialogue with my customers (and non-customers alike). Reading comments and getting a pulse check for products we launch, crazy ideas we have and random personal rantings has been such a joy over the last year. I’m looking forward to continuing this conversation for years to come.”

And, in a perfect world, that’s just the quote that would have been used.

    =)

  5. I, too, have benefitted from reaching out and allowing myself to be seen, thus creating a human side to the business. We are personable and eager to help, and I think people really respond to that. And I have made so many online friends that I cherish!

  6. Wow – vahry nice! (My Borat impression). I do have a question, though; he didn’t really explain why the blog helped the onslaught of emails and phone calls that you were getting at Brambleberry – ? Can you help me understand?

  7. Congratulations Anne-Marie!

That’s wonderful news. I’ve visited the article and left a comment.

    Cheers,

    Stephanie
