Thanks to everybody who entered on Facebook to be a part of the Winter 2014 S.O.A.P. Panel! It was incredibly hard to choose only eight panelists out of nearly 200 entries. We are excited to announce the new panelists, and can’t wait to hear what they have to say about the mystery fragrances. Scroll down to find out who made the panel, as well as hints about the three new fragrances chosen from the Fall 2014 S.O.A.P. Panel!

Soon the panelists will be receiving their eight mystery fragrances to test and share their opinions on. Earlier in the week, we gathered the opinions from the Fall 2014 S.O.A.P. Panel, and are excited to bring in three new fragrances!

The first fragrance features notes of grapefruit, peach and bright citrus scents. The second is an earthy scent, with hints of warm rose and sandalwood. The third fragrance features notes of tropical pineapple, coconut and papaya. I can’t wait for you to try them all! Expect to see these fragrances in several weeks.

Below is a collection of videos and blog posts created by the Fall 2014 S.O.A.P. Panel regarding their first impressions of the fragrances, along with testing notes. Thanks so much to everybody who participated in the panel! All your diligent testing, social media updates and honest feedback is so appreciated.

Below, Amanda from Butterfly Butters and Amy from Nelson Farms shared their first impressions via YouTube. It was so fun to watch these videos and hear what the panelists had to say after their first whiff of each mystery fragrance.

Later, Amanda and Amy created videos demonstrating their tests for each fragrance oil. Watching each fragrance oil react in cold process is so interesting. There were a few dramatic examples of discoloration that were fun to see!

The winning fragrances are going through one more round of testing, but will be announced soon. All three fragrances received high marks from our S.O.A.P. Panel, and I can’t wait for you all to try them!  If you are looking for a specific type of fragrance, let us know in the comments and I will keep my eyes out =)

    1. Hi Diana!

I haven’t smelled Jovan, but I looked up some of the notes and I think Bay Rum Fragrance Oil may be similar! It has notes of capers, allspice, pine and patchouli: https://www.brambleberry.com/Bay-Rum-Fragrance-Oil-P4489.aspx

As for the Axe, I think Yacht Club smells really close! It has the fresh citrusy note that Axe does. 🙂

We also have a Men’s Fragrance Sampler you may like! It has several sample sizes of popular men’s fragrances. You may be able to find the scent you’re looking for!

    1. Hi Victoria!

We have a couple of great scents that would fit the bill! Orange Blossom Fragrance Oil is fresh, sweet and floral.

Also, Crisp Apple Rose Fragrance Oil is a great combination of roses and tart apples. Apricot Freesia is another great one. 🙂
