Continuing her run at world dominance, Oprah has announced the formation of her own TV Network – the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). Continuing on her path to help others lead their best lives, the t.v. venture will focus on a broad mission involving celebrating life, inspiring and entertaining. Oprah will have full editorial control.

The thing that I find most inspiring about Oprah’s accomplishment is that Oprah wrote in her journal 15 years ago that she wanted a t.v. network. Now, over a decade later, her goal is becoming a reality. Little baby steps towards big goals eventually lead to greatness.

  1. I am very sure this was when she was much younger. Like she would need a skill to fall back on to help out the family. She just does not seem anything like a crafter to me, unless making money could be considered a craft. Luckily she has more money than God and can afford to buy any and every lovely soap we can make.

  2. Oh, the horror, the horror; Anonymous, that’s such sad news but maybe she just didn’t realize how fun and creative soapmaking can be? And that it creates small-scale business opportunities for women all over the world?

  3. Oprah once said one of her relatives wanted her to come and learn to make soap. She said there was no way, she didn’t want to make soap….ever.

  6. Oprah is definitely an inspiration to all of us that when you start a business and live out your dreams you should give back. The person who receives the gift gets blessed and you get blessed.

  8. I haven’t really watched oprahs show in many years but the woman is absolutely amazing. She is such a good hearted person and does so much to give back. She could just sit on all she has but she never does and that is what I love about her!
