I’ve grown a whole inch and a half this month! I’m at 37″ at my widest point in my belly (no, I’m still not measuring my hips) and last month, on the 16th, I was 35 1/2″! Our little baby boy is growing and apparently, growing quickly.
He weighs at least 3 pounds (think large head of a cabbage) and is supposedly around 16 to 18 inches. I can definitely tell he’s growing by the fun love taps he delivers with increasing vigor. The latest thing I am loving about pregnancy is watching my belly move. It is so cool to know there’s a fully formed little human being in there! And, clearly, he’s wanting a bit more space (sorry little guy!).
To see my progress from last month, here is last month’s update post. It’s a pretty big change!

  1. You look wonderful woman!! You are positively glowing!! BTW, I look how you have a desk on your treadmill! Great idea!! Very clever!

  2. It’s definitely less than pre-pregnancy but I’m still on there almost every day. My goal is to always do and complete all my emails on the treadmill so that gives me good motivation. =)

  3. So precious! And I Love that you are doing work while on the treadmill to stay in shape!

  4. Off Topic of Precious Baby Bump, but where oh where do I find a thermometer like yours for testing the temp of my M&P soap? I am currently using a candy thermometer.

  5. Hey Ann Marie,
Here are suggestions for two books that we would have been lost without them as we were working thru the adoption of our little one. In our case in particular since she was eventially diagnosed with autism. HAPPIEST BABY ON THE BLOCK and HAPPIEST TODDLER ON THE BLOCK by HARVEY KARP
Check them out. Nice addition to what I am sure is a growing library for your little darlin’.

  6. My back end huh? Thanks for that hint! Had not thought of that at all. I’m
almost to 8 months now and definitely getting bigger. =) I cannot wait to
    meet this little guy!

Congrats on your baby girl!!! You are tinier than me pre-pregnancy (I’m
about 120 on average, 116 on an spectacular day) so I’m not surprised you
    were all baby! =)

  7. Congrats! You look great. I just had a baby girl 7 weeks ago, and I was about that small as well at 7 1/2 months. But by the end of month 8….oh boy was I huge, and wanting her to come early. I was all baby with a back end thrown in for good measure but I was under 100 pounds prior. The last few months are when my skin really stretched. I didn’t get stretch marks on my belly or top half when pregnant since I was using a cocoa butter mix as well, but nobody told me to use it on my back end. So put your creams everywhere. lol. And bring them to the hospital as well for when it’s time to feed your little boy, as you will be shocked at how quickly things can change. Hoping for a smooth pregnancy and birth with minimal stretch marks 🙂

  8. It has been SO fast. We’re going to try to baby proof the house today because I think the next 4 months are going to just come sooner than we know it and all of a sudden, baby will be moving around!

  9. I know – 20 years already has passed by quickly – and I hear that everything just speeds up SO much when a baby is involved =)

  10. 20 years will pass by quickly! I have 4 – 3 girls and one boy. I love my little prince. He’s get’s so spoiled with all the female energy. Yours will be pouring soap before you know it. Bet he’ll have the cutest little goggles. Blessings to you and yours!

  11. Amazing and so excited, many blessings! Will you be rubbing your belly with cocoa butter? I’ve always heard that is good for your skin when expecting. I hope to experience mango butter on my belly when we get pregnant!I’ll just have to wait (trying 5+yrs).

  12. Keep me posted when you get pregnant! I can’t wait to hear about it. =) It is a really fun journey. The ovulation predictor kits, BTW, were what did the trick for us (is that TMI?) =)

So you must make soap then! YAY! We have a super active FB page as well here: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pag

  13. I swear, this boy is SO mellow during the day (to the point where I almost want to go to my OB’s office multiple times a day to make him listen for a heartbeat) but at night, he is active! He must take after his Mommy (I’m a night owl)…

  14. I promise to not turn this into a baby blog after our little Bramble Prince is born, even if I want to!

  15. Soon! I know! Can you believe he will be here before summer? This summer is going to be such an adventure!

  16. Congratulations! You are looking great!! I just found your blog. 😀 My husband and I are really hoping for children. I can’t wait to experience all the things you just described! 🙂

  17. Yes, you are really really really REALLY pregnant. It’s a really really REALLY beautiful thing.

  18. Aww, this is so great! You are the most adorable mommy-to-be. You look fabulous too. I LOVED watching m babies play in my belly. It was fun moving their little feet around to adjust for “comfort” (even though there was no such thing by the time I was 7.5 months along). Thanks for bringing us along on your journey!

  19. Six years old … wow, and I bet it goes by so quickly! That’s what everyone is telling me.

I had morning sickness the first 3 months, now that’s progressed to just a bit of reflux (yay!) and the gestational diabetes check came back negative so I am SO thankful for that. I am anemic so on iron supplements but other than that, all roads point to awesome!

  20. He is sooooooo active at night. I swear, last night, he started running across my belly – it was the STRANGEST feeling. I had no idea that he could move that fast! =)

  21. I keep feeling my tummy to see if I can tell what things are but so far, I can only guess. It is really fun to feel the hard parts versus the regular soft parts and realize there’s a fully formed little human in there. =)

  22. Still using it – but do 15 minutes standing/15 minutes walking now. My poor low back can’t take the sustained walking any more =)

  23. Thank you. I’m feeling good, considering that I’m reallly realllllly realllllllllly pregnant! =)

  24. It is wonderful to see and thank you for sharing photo and your thoughts with us Anne-Marie. So refreshing!

  25. Oh my gosh, the birth date is in sight!!! Hope you’re still feeling good because you look fantastic! And I’m still loving your workstation treadmill. 😉

  26. I love it! Today is my little man’s 6th birthday, so I’m doing some reminiscing of my own about my pregnancy. It wasn’t all fun (I had “morning sickness 24/7 for almost the whole time and had gestational diabetes for the last few months), but I LOVED feeling him moving around in there. And I know I haven’t said it yet, so… CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

  27. Wow, AM!!! You look Terrific!!! I was wondering which baby name you´ve chosen? Max, Peter, Gabriel…? God bless you, your Bramble Baby and your husband.

  28. AAww you look so adorable! I love that feeling and its so amazing when you see that little body that did all that wiggling 🙂

  29. You look terrific! My daughter just had her baby on Monday, so it’s been fun watching both of you. 🙂

  30. I guess I meant to say when is your due date? Mine is May 1st. I can’t wait. This is my 4th baby, 3rd boy and I am super excited to have our family grow some more. Congratulations to you. 🙂

  31. You do look great! I remember all the moving around in there can get fascinating. Towards the end I was able to distinguish if he was sticking out an elbow or his little bony butt! Ahh. Good times. 😉

  32. AWWW You look Fantastica!! Enjoy every little moment!!! And Thanks for sharing with us♥

  33. How far along are you? I am about 71/2 months pregnant as well, and with a boy. 🙂 Fellow prego buddy.

  34. You are so darn cute! Thanks for sharing this experience with all of us. My baby is 20, but my 3 kiddos are the highlights of my life and I am so excited for you! Blessings!
