The connection between food and soap is a strange one. All of my favorite fragrances are food scents – Almond, Tangerine, Bread – but I have never been tempted to eat soap.
And it seems that I am not alone in the fascination.

Here are a couple of images of some amazing soap creations made by our talented staff at Otion. To the right is a lemon meringue pie completely made from soap!

To the left is their version of a Strawberry shortcake. I love the whipped soap – it looks soft & fluffy but it’s not!

Of course my favorite foodie soap maker is Debbie from Soapy Love. They look and smell like cool, refreshing popsicles but they’re not!

There is a medical term for people who are compelled to eat soap – although I cannot recall the exact name. I am curious to know if there are more soap eaters out there now as a result of all of the fabulous foodie soaps being made?

Someone should do a research project!
