I’m so lucky to have a fun and wonderful family. We spent today in Seattle, celebrating my Mom’s birthday. First, we walked around Greenlake, where we met the lovely duck photographed above (that duck, plus about ten thousand more and probably 250 cute dogs and 35 perfectly behaved, adorable babies).

Then, we headed to Costas in the Fremont District of Seattle. That’s where this fun photo of my dear husband and I was taken. The “Fremont Troll” is a a well known landmark. It’s holding a real car, as if it had just snatched it from the overpass above.

We finished up with a wonderful 3-D Imax show, Under the Sea, at the Pacific Science Center. If you have an Imax near you, this was a great film. It made me feel like I was scuba diving with exotic sea life and was informative at the same time. All in all, today was a very laughter-filled day with lots of joy. Thank goodness the weather held for most of it!

  1. I thought I was the only one who loved the little movies at the IMAX theater at the California Science Center. Those movies are amazing, aren’t they!

  2. I am so fortunate to be just a short ferry ride from Seattle. I can’t wait ’till my toddler is a little older and would enjoy a day over there!

You had asked me about how my Organization Goals were coming this year, they are moving along. A little slower than I had hoped with some of life little unexpected events popping up (ie; selling more on etsy then I had imagined!!!, a newly diagnosed diabetic cat requiring insulin injections, an active toddler…), you know, life in general.

Im getting there though! I just need to step it up a notch I think.

Hey, I would love to see a blog post checking up on everyones goals. : )

  3. My boys would love the Fremont Troll! What a sense of humor that town has.

Cute duck (I think it’s a female mallard, but my bird expert’s in bed already), and cuuute family! 🙂

  4. I live in Fremont and love our crazy art. Glad you and your family enjoyed your visit so much.
