That’s right; its happened! Lily is already one year old. This is where I exclaim about how fast time flies and how everyone warned me this would happen … and yup, ya’ll were right. It really does go by fast. To celebrate, I made Lily two recipes off my Pinterest Yummy Food Recipe board, Dark Chocolate with Orange Glaze and Lemon Coconut with Lemon Glaze.

Oh little Lily! All the doughnuts, she’s not sure what to do about them. Should she eat them? She doesn’t usually get sugar. What to do? What to do?
She did try one and enjoyed her lemon coconut doughnut. Though if you ask me, she chose wrong. The Dark Chocolate one was absolutely the way to go so if you only get to make one of them, be sure to make it that one =)
Lily alternated between trying to eat the cup and eat the doughnut. She still only has two little teensy adorable teeth on the bottom and none anywhere else. She sure is drooly though so she might be teething. She loves her solid food and tries to mash it up as best she can with her gums.
Lily had no idea what to do with the whole wrapping paper thing. She was quite enamored with ripping it and was interested in what was inside the boxes, though the concept of birthdays and parties doesn’t seem to be very clear to her. Thankfully, she had her big brother to help unwrap and “borrow” the toys she got. Of course, we had no actual non-Christmas wrapping paper in the house … but she’s one. She doesn’t know or care, right?
Lily received some cute clothes, two dolls and a ball to play with. Her brother promptly took off with both dolls and has to be coaxed into sharing them. It was a fun first birthday for our little Lily. =) Happy Weekend Everyone!

  1. Sweet baby girl. First birthdays are so fun. I know what you mean about the wrapping paper. I just wrapped my nephew’s present 2 weeks ago in brown paper. I figure – they are interested in the attention and the presents. Who cares about paper?!?

    🙂

  2. Happy Birthday Lily! (THE Cutest little girl ever!) I can’t believe it’s already a year ~ where does the time go? 🙂

  3. When I saw this post in my email, I thought it was one of those computer generated emails to wish me a happy birthday (I don’t mind those type of emails). You see, yesterday (June 1) was my birthday. Of course, I have quite a few years on your Lily

I hope your Lily had a good 1st b-day, and I’m wishing her a hundred more.

    1. I feel the same way! I still remember when she was in my belly, when she was a tiny baby eating every hour, when she was up multiple times a night – the whole deal. But now, she’s a little toddler and almost walking! It goes by fast =)

  4. Awww she is such a little cutie! Happy birthday to her! Thanks for sharing the donut recipes too, I’ll definitely have to try those out.

    1. Oh if you try it, do the Chocolate ones – and coat the doughnut pan with coconut oil instead of butter. The moisture it gives the doughnut is incredible! And the glaze is more of a watery glaze – it didn’t look anything like it did in the picture in the tutorial (just to warn you) =) I hope you make them. They were SO good.
