Thank you to Soap Queen commenter, Rita, for the Heads Up about this Robert Kaufman cupcake fabric. It’s $8 per yard here. While it might be a bit um, intense, for an entire shirt, it would be a lovely pajamas pattern or cute pillow.

  1. This is not a fabric to be hidden underneath a boring cardigan or — worse yet — a sweater vest! This is a fabric that just screams out to be turned into an adorable purse, a one of a kind laptop bag, a headband or scarf, a twirly summer skirt, a pair of capri pants with clay cupcake buttons, a pair of shorts you wear to picnics!

I really have no fashion sense, do I? Oh well, by next weekend I’ll have the coolest capri pants made out of sushi fabric for the summer!

  2. I’m seeing a cupcake quilt, actually. 🙂 Being a Kaufman design, there is probably lots of coordinating fabric/colorways in the line…..

  3. That is extra cute! I think you’re spot-on, Anne-Marie… the fabric is screaming PAJAMA PANTS to me. You really can’t have enough pairs of pajama pants, right? And with cupcakes? I’m in!
